Well the Hawk Sauce is not bad I can tell it be better when I let steep a little. I can taste that little bit, guess u just say fresh taste, I always described it a perfume taste but its not that bad. I had some Cherry Cured from another vendor even after a year was really bad with that taste. It made my tongue feel all tingly ?? I just tossed that bottle the other day.

But ill let this Hawk Sauce steep before I vape more of it, I only filled clearo up halfway, now to try the Blue Moo, hopefully it will not need any steeping really?? I know the description of Hawk Sauce sounded a little more complex ill put it in my box of juices to let steep.

The Blue Moo was better but still going to need to steep. How long u guys usually let ur juices from MBV steep? I know some take longer then others I havent had to let a juice steep for a long time, the juices I get from Good E juice and HHV have been good to go right out of the mailbag, I did notice they have gotten better and flavor has changed about halfway thru the bottle, especially in HHVs Shadow and Heavenly Army...but this first time in a while I had ordered juice with a born on date (freshly mixed) they was mixed the 20th and only the 22nd today..

Just got my first order from MBV! I know i should let them steep awhile but someone told me the Berry and Fruit flavors sometimes be fine to vape right away? Just that they will get better with time.

Some flavors are great straight from the mail - usually fruit flavors. My Blackberry has gotten deeper in flavor, but it still pretty much tastes the way it did the day I got it.

Most flavors, including some fruits, are better with steep time. How much depends on the juice (and your tastebuds). A week was enough for my Cola (which also changed from completely clear to *bright* lime green). Two weeks for Blood Orange (it was vapable before that, but suffered from the "where's the flavor?" issue that some juices have before steeping.) My chocolates and coffees took a month to taste *good*, but they're still evolving and deepening at a month and a half out.

Most mid to light colored juices will be vapeable after a week. At two weeks, they'll be better. At three to four weeks, they'll settle into their "final" flavor.

Generally, the darker the juice, the longer it'll need to steep - coffees, chocolates, most tobaccos, etc. There are exceptions to this. Coconut Cream Pie arrives clear, took a month to get vapeable, and is also still evolving and settling. (The latter is also a very temperamental and not-for-everyone kind of juice... a lot of people get burnt plastic taste from it even after lots of steep time.)

I suggest you try everything out of the mail so you have a baseline. If you have a mini tank, or better, a dripping atomizer, use that, and just try a few drops... you don't want to load up a full tank/carto with most unsteeped juices. Expect them to range from "good, but could be better" to "gross."

Then put them away for a week. Shake them when you think about it. At the end of the week, try them again.

Rinse, repeat.

You don't *have* to do it that way - some people just chuck them all on a shelf (away from light) and wait a month, and that'll accomplish the same end.

But if you're like me and can't afford to buy a closet full of juice, and therefore like to have a *general* idea of how long each juice takes to steep for your liking, testing them week by week is a good way to learn estimates for each juice flavor.

Thanks for the info I have 555 still and MBVs 555 is a dark juice so im glad I can let that steep awhile, I really didnt know the darkness of juice had a factor, probably why the Heavenly T and Heavenly Army didnt need much steep time although they have gotten better, but there both really clear for tobacco flavors.

The Blue Moo is almost vapable now, but the Hawk Sauce I can tell needs to steep has that fresh juice after taste, I do taste a kinda sour taste and notice the hint of menthol is there. Both juices are very clear so I will try a week.

What I did was filled up a .9ml Kanger G5 clearo up with .4-5ml of juice I figure I can just throw the clearo in my wooden box where I keep my juices and it would steep in the clearo too?? If not its really not that much juice to waste...

actually as I sit here and vape both of these trying them out the Blue Moo is vapeable now, i still think it will get better but it has a much better taste to it then the Hawk Sauce, I dont notice the "fresh taste" as bad with it, what I usually describe as perfume taste that overpowers the flavors..I taste the sour and hint of menthol in the hawk Sauce but I got feeling its still slacking alot on flavor..

I wish I had the funds to fill a whole closet too and be stocked up on juice and letting bottles steep for months too! :)

ps..
U described it good as in a burnt plastic taste..I had always just called it kinda perfume taste but that's it and the "wheres the flavor" both what Im getting from the Hawk Sauce but not the Blue Moo as bad..

You're quite welcome. Yeah, darkness of juice is a good rule of thumb. There are always exceptions, though. So far, I've never had a dark juice that didn't need a long steep, but I've had a good handful of light juices that did, and as well as some medium color juices that needed only a short steep, and some that needed a long one. But color usually gives you a starting point.

What I did was filled up a .9ml Kanger G5 clearo up with .4-5ml of juice I figure I can just throw the clearo in my wooden box where I keep my juices and it would steep in the clearo too?? If not its really not that much juice to waste...

Yup, it'll steep right in the clearo (and a little quicker than the juice will steep in the bottle, in fact!). In the past, when I was running out of steeped juice, I've done exactly that... filled a couple of .9 clearos halfway, and/or decanted a bigger bottle into 5ml bottles. The bigger the bottle, the more time it'll need to steep, as well, so divvying the juice up a little will knock some time off how long it needs.

Just make sure you're not steeping any tank cracking juices in plastic clearos, or you'll ruin the clearos *and* lose the juice! None of the MBV juices you've listed are tank crackers, so you're good to go this time around. For future reference, check this list of juices that can crack plastic tanks before you load up a clearo. Tank cracking juices can safely be used in pyrex and glass tanks.

I wish I had the funds to fill a whole closet too and be stocked up on juice and letting bottles steep for months too! :)

I hear you. I'm just now feeling like I'll be able to stay ahead of the juice steeping curve, and that's thanks to the generosity of friends... without them, I'd be in deeeeep trouble about now. 8-o

Thats one thing I liked about MBV, besides the cheap prices, was they let u know before u buy the juice if it could damage plastic tanks, which I almost bought some Ecto Cooler from another company and glad I didnt when i saw it can damage plastic tanks.. I am only using some .9ml Kanger T4s and the .9ml Kanger G5s in a 2.2ohm (didnt realize same clearo just can specify ur ohms with the G5s) and I got a couple EVOD BCC Clearos which I think are just plastic too? I know the Pro Tank is glass, not sure if the EVODs are plastic or pyrex??

EVODs are plastic. If you want a similarly priced tank with a similar draw that's still BCC, but pyrex, take a look at the pyrex smoktech aro. It's about $2 more than the EVOD, and you have to use smoktech heads with it (EVOD heads *look* virtually identical, but they won't fit) but I love mine.

Okay, I may actually be starting to convert boyfriend. He's been taking a shining to an old 18mg juice I no longer use, it's from a local shop, and described as caramel, vanilla, pralines and cream. It's super sweet and strong and compared to my MBV juices, really harsh. That in part is the higher nic level (I use 6mg mostly now, with a few leftover 12s.) He likes it but also asks for "something that tastes like a cigarette." I know nothing will ever really taste like a cigarette, but any suggestions for him? MBV's RY4 doesn't seem to have the best reviews. I'm thinking the 555 for a regular tobacco then something sweeter to see which he prefers. Maybe Blu-Bacco and Chocolate Tobacco. I'm also curious about all of these myself, so it shouldn't be a total loss should he not take to them.

ECBlend claims to have a tobacco designed to include the burning tobacco taste. I haven't tried it, but I've been tempted to order some just to have on hand for buddies who are thinking about vaping.

It really truely is. I love it with a passion and I'm actually out of it. Waiting for that black Friday sale while I make room for some Jamaican Rum and a few customs I have perfected over time. I have to say I love one of them as much as the rum. It's a 60% pipe tobacco 40% wild cherry mix I get. Man it packs a great punch. I call it the wild pipe, lol

That sounds great, willing to share the vendors you get the stuff from? I would like to try mixing up a batch of that!

thanks for the info I been seeing alot of post about the Aro, also was suggested before I got the EVOD to check out a iSmoka, do u know if it is plastic or not? Guess Adam from HHV swears by them..

Haven't tried ECBlend's version, but similar juices almost turned a few people I know off vaping *forever*. Everyone thinks they want "something just like a cigarette" when they start out, but it turns out that cigs don't taste all that hot once you can taste again. ;)

I've found a tobacco that tastes just like a cigarette if you weren't burning it... no "deep" or "complex" or "rich" flavors, nice and simple, tastes just like an unlit Marlboro smells. I plan to snag some of that for the "ack, I need an analog" moments and for converting skeptical vapers.

I'd name it here, but it's not MBV, so if anyone's interested, shoot me a PM and I'll point you in the right direction.
