Drove thru Gary last June on way to airport (Midway).
OMG still stinks. Even with the windows up you hold your
nose all the way through. I guess people that live there get
used to the smell? Eeek.

Grew up near Michigan City, IN. Tween Gary and South Bend.
Been to Chicago area many many many times.

Saw Richard Pryor: Live in Concert (1979) in a theater in downtown Southside.

We just wanted to see the movie and didn't know about no "Southside".
No hassles and the crowd was awesome like a rockin' Baptist church

For testing flavors and making sure I don't have a weird reaction to a new company's base, I use either a little $5 510 atty or an old carto I (gently) extracted the filler material from. Since that's all I use them for, they've held up very well over time.

Do you leave the center "stem" in, or take that out to ????

I am forever tryin new stuff in the T3 and its a pain wash, rinse, burn coil, replace flavor wick arggghhhh such a pain

sounds like New Jersey

Driving through NJ did indeed give me Gary flashbacks, but Gary is worse. There's nothing on earth quite like it. (Grew up in western MI, had relatives just outside of Gary... we never drove down to see them because they insisted on driving up to see us, mostly to get away from the stench!)

Nah, you leave it in. Just loosen up the filler material a little with a needle or a toothpick, then pull it out with some tweezers. That's pretty much all there is to it, just drip a couple drops on either side of the air hole and vape away. There are a few vids around where you can watch someone do it and/or see what the guts of a carto look like, if you want some visual reference before you start dismantling old cartos. Just search "make atomizer from cartomizer" and you'll find 'em.
