When I started vaping I smoked along with it for a few months. So I have been vaping for about a year longer than my banner would indicate. I used ecigs to quit, and since that day,Oct 20, 2011 have not looked back. In thinking about all the times I tried to quit & failed, I am very happy that my doctor sugested ecigs. The ecigs that were around at the time & easy to find were horrible to say the least but they got me started & with a little research I found places on the internet to gain information, like ECF & places to order stuff that was a huge step up in quality & flavor. There were no B&M places & no disposables at the nearest 7-11. Most of the juice vendors that people think of as old were just starting or had only been around for a year or so. You had to have a good stock or risk running out & being out for days to weeks. Things have changed a lot in 3 years.

No real point to this post..... just thinking.

Like you, I smoked for over 50 years before actually quitting. Its only been a tad over 4 months , so I'm not sure if I can actually say I quit. ie: hello, my name is Uncle Ralphie and Im a smoker. I never plan on going back to analogs, but I suppose I will be called a smoker the rest of my days. Much like an alcoholic is always an alcoholic. At what point can you say ex-smoker ?

My wife was the one that got me started on e-cigs. She saw the struggle i was going thru with the Patch, Nic gum, chantix, pills, hypnotism, you name it ...I've been there. A co-worker showed her some gadget that she held up to her mouth and said "this is the way to go" My wife wasn't sure what it was because the girl then left without going into any detail. I did some research and found Volt, Smokeless Image. The rest as they say , is history.

I was excited when the first vape mail came, but really didn't expect the results to be anything any better then what I had already tried. Was I wrong !!!! I still recall that "Cherry on top" loaded into a 65mm cigalike carto. I knew nothing about steeping but it was still tasty enough that I have not picked up a cigarette since that day.

It has occured to me how lucky we were that we plowed thru those first few weeks. Not knowing about steeping, or anything else, for that matter. Then I found ECF. Needless to say, a few 78mm cigalikes, a couple volt spinners and dozens of blank and flavored cartos the search began for that elusive bird in the sky... "ADV", which i now believe does not exist. Although we smoked the same brand, with the same taste for years and years...we now had to find a " flavor" that we liked so much, that we could vape it all day. Not going to happen. But... I digress....

Point being.......e-cigs tecnology is in its infancy, much much better things are coming, and soon. An Industry that was struggeling to survive 3 years ago, is now a 7 Billion a year industry. Look how far we came from that cigalike thingy.

Anyway.... back to the point i wanted to make. I wish,...for new folks only,... MBV would have some pre seeped juice available, so they wouldn't have to be waiting for that first vapable juice for 3 to 6 weeks. It takes quite some time to build up a stockpile where that is no longer a problem for some of us.

And now, back to your reguarly scheduled chaos :)View attachment 284060

Is eggnog a new flavor for them?

They dropped it before Thanksgiving because it wasn't selling (not smart).
They should have made it seasonal IMO.

Flavor West carries it if you DIY. I'd say PM me if you want some but I don't know the rules on that.

I think they may be just too big to do seasonal now. Or maybe it was that poor a seller. I kind of wondered about that as well.

i don't know. a good bookstore or Tower records, when they were open, or a good bootleg store.

just saying...;)

(everything else is get the hell out, ASAP)

We used to go to Avenue Victor Hugo bookstore on Newbury Street in Boston.
They were the local Stephen King limited edition supply here.
They had a limited (numbered) 1st edition of the Gunslinger and even had a copy of the asbestos bound Firestarter.
I have a decent collection of Robert E. Howard (and others) from Donald M. Grant, Publisher that I got there.
They closed their B & M in 2004 but are still online - Avenue Victor Hugo Books

You can still get an asbestos bound Firestarter for a mere $18,500 here - ASBESTOS FIRESTARTER

When we were finished there we'd stroll across the street to Tower Records and stay till they kicked us out (after Midnite). They stayed open until 12:30 AM on release day so night owls could get new releases asap. They locked their doors many years ago too.

Good times :)

I got some last xmas.. so it's not new.. kinda dismayed that it's discontinued :( it's not an ADV but it is still very nice.. got that little nutmeg whisper in it that I like. I wish they had a nutmeg juice on it's own.. I'd add that to lots of things.

That sucks. Hope you get that sorted soon.

facebook evil

That's what I said until I made an anonymous account to check it out.
It's actually the most amazing thing I've seen online yet (in over 18 years).
It has plenty of douchebags just like anyplace but they're easy to ignore.

ok.. answered too quick on the last post.. already answered.. *sigh*

Women LOVE to shop........men go into store, get what they need, and get out !!
Women, especially my wife, has to SEE everything in the store
Needless to say, I no longer accompany her on those excursions.......I do mine online for the most part

gotta disagree with the men part too.. I had to swear off EVER going in a lowes or home depot with hubby years ago.. that man needs to take a lunch with him when he goes there. He's a disabled vet - rides around in one of the scooter carts - wears my back - legs and feet out in an hour or so.. still says *I just have to check....**" so I won't go back. He's like that EVERYWHERE.. groceries.. home stores.. even trying to pick out one wine takes him forever! makes me nuts! and I'm a pretty good shopper..

facebook evil

right there with ya Kelli.. I call em either fedbook or fraudbook

donchas hate it when you just refill a clearo and it picks then to crap out? 3 of em today! *grumble, whine, ....., moan, complain*
