Ahh it's good to be home. But over 20 pages behind so.... Likes for everyone!

I hope I didn't miss anything good.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

i won the lottery and bought everyone here at the time a new car. so sorry you missed out....sucks to be you. :(

Don't worry man, she gave me a Yugo. :glare:

Those are cinnamon?

Curt.

Duh. :D

Edit: I was looking for a picture of a Yugo to add, but all I found were smoldering piles of what might have been some sort of soft metal at one point... oh... and this review which included classic lines such as, "the Yugo had the distinct feeling of something assembled at gunpoint", "had a rear-window defroster — reportedly to keep your hands warm while you pushed it" & "a car where 'carpet' was listed as a standard feature". Man, I forgot how classy those things were.

never heard the song cinnamon girl? guess who it's about? :D

Ummmm, let's see!

The lyrics have the singer daydreaming for a girl to love, singing that he waits "between shows" for his lover. Young has claimed that he wrote the song "for a city girl on peeling pavement coming at me through Phil Ochs' eyes playing finger cymbals. It was hard to explain to my wife." The city girl playing finger cymbals is a reference to folk singer Jean Ray. Music critic Johnny Rogan described the lyrics as "exotic and allusive without really saying anything at all." Critic Toby Creswell describes the lyrics as "cryptic love lyrics" noting that they are sung "over the crunching power of Crazy Horse." Critic John Mendelsohn felt the song conveyed a message of "desperation begetting brutal vindictiveness," hinted at by the "almost impenetrably subjective words" but carried strongly by the sound of Crazy Horse's "heavy, sinister accompaniment."

Sorry bout it not being all sparkly and stuff but here's on I dug up. I want it back when you're on your feet again though.

Oh thank you so much. I'm glad it's not sparkly - it needs to match my cane. Now someone will have to remind me, is it appropriate to wear tails with Carhartt overalls & sawdust after Labor Day? Or is that only if I have a monocle? I want to look dapper if I'm going to gimp around with my cane & top hat, but the faux pas of fashion tend to elude me.

 A Morning Coat is appropriate with overalls...sawdust is optional (and risky)
