The wolf is pretty awesome (but I really wanted a bobcat

), but it's pretty hard on the hand for the first day or so until you get used to it. You have to hold him facing backwards with the left ear/cheek ruff between your ring finger & pinky (for the right hand). It's comical that it's even a sword cane, because there's no quick release, the head is solid metal & slightly smaller than a baseball. With those pointy metal ears I could take care of a problem with that head long before I could get the blade out. Probably more effectively too. I really dig the Damascus blade on the other one & all the etchings/leather wrap. There was a skull one in there too that was pretty cool.
Ankle is doing better than this morning, same as last night. I woke up with my calf/foot on fire & driving around for 4 hours did not help at all. I finally got the nerve when I got home to make my way upstairs (where I got stuck for 10 minutes - my house is 100 years old with steep & narrow stairs that were very difficult to get back down) & dug out the walking cast. I was just using a stiff brace last night & on the route this morning. I also had to go down to the shop (basement) where one of my chest freezers is located to bring some stuff up. Other than that I've been rolling my desk chair between here & the couch. Bored. As. Hell. Got a nice nappy nap in this morning which was nice. So no real progress from last night, pain-wise. At least I know what I'm dealing with - as much as I can know without really expensive pictures. 99% certain I hairlined a few of the old fracture lines. Nothing to do for the next couple days but lay around &
hope someone brings me crab legs & lobster.
