True, that.

I'm going to hide the 1's and 0's behind this lovely forum UI, now, before Uno comes back and makes us all go sit in a corner...

My KFL was dispatched to overseas on 03.01.2014....... I'm now wondering if Doctor Who will be my delivery man.... Yes, yes, they flipped the date, but it's more fun to think Doctor Who will be my delivery man.

We have to do Alaska (she's wanted to go for years) before I can get the 15-day Hawaii ;)

Hawaii is one of my future ones....but maybe after I retire. I want to do the round-trip cuz I REFUSE to fly that many hours even if it is one-way. I am almost stir-crazy by the time I fly to Vegas.....can't imagine another 4-5 hours more !!!!

Leave the thread for a few and spend half an hour catching up again...

On SSI/SSDI... for SSI, you get backpay *from the day you became disabled* (assuming you qualify financially for such aid), not just the day you applied - for SSDI it goes by application date. To clarify that a little - when my SSI finally went through, they backdated my pay to age 18 (the age at which I had proof I was supporting myself and thus qualified financially for said aid), not the date of my first application (which was age 21 or so). Had my parents' incomes been just slightly lower, I would have got backdated pay all the way to the day of my birth. The downside is SSI is much less money per month (as it should be - people who qualify for SSDI have worked longer and thus paid more into the system). The long and short of it is, lump sum wise, SSI is the better one to get done first... but SSDI is the one you can actually *live* on month to month. There is no apartment, shared living arrangement, or cardboard box in the road which I could afford to live in with just my SSI check (backpay's long gone, went to keep a roof over our heads while mom was out of work years ago). Which is why I also do what I can from home, and why I'm still going back to school so I can get a decent paying job and get off "the system" - SSI by itself is enough to keep you from starving to death, but it's not enough to pay the bills long term. That's why most people who *only* qualify for SSI, and don't have any kind of retirement/pension/significant other/friend/family etc to supplement that, live in assisted living/group homes... they take your check, and in exchange, they feed you and give you a room (and probably a roommate or two).

It is nineteen degrees outside. My little field trip is hereby postponed.

Yes, we are all a load of geeks. And for the record? Mixing Irish and English is bad enough, but then translating that to binary?

That qualifies as escalation.

Fortunately, if my online resources hadn't worked, I have an Irish colleague. :p

Yeah, the weather outside is definitely frightful, even without the snow.

I couldn't resist. And you can ask your Irish colleague, but you're very likely to get, "Oh, Jaysis, *Irish*? No clue; *no* one speaks *that* anymore." Of the 200 or so Irish people I know personally, 5 of them are Irish speakers... the rest wouldn't be able to answer a "Cád é mar a tá tú?" (hi, how are you?) There's a revival movement nowadays, but it's slow and painful going, because the Irish government utterly banjaxed the reintroduction of Irish into the Irish school system in 1962 (after 161 years of it being illegal), so most Irish born people a) hate it, b) can't speak it, and c) associate it with country bumpkins at best and violent Irish Republicanism at worst.

You'd hate a language too, if your school jumped from "hi, how's the weather" to "read Ulysses in this language - well, of course you can't, but pretend you did, and then memorize this answer in the language you don't speak."

Or, as an Irish friend of mine once said, "I memorized enough to vomit it onto the page for GCSEs and then my brain said "if you *ever* put another *word* of that :censored: into me again, I will trigger a total system failure, *do not think I am joking you*!"

Which is all part of why I put myself to learning it - someone's got to help keep it off life-support.

Technically that's a stockpile. Problem is, by the time you have that much, you have definite favorites in the pack, so then you get worried about running out of the stuff you reach for most. I've got well over 1000mls now, but by the end of the month, my favorite juices are always perilously close to empty... so I still have to reorder. :)

yeah, i'm definitely finding favorites and im sure ill find more. im going to vape a few tanks of every kind of juice i have. pick favorites and only order those and maybe an occasional new one. so far cinnamon roll is my fave. ill be trying sticky bun sometime after two weeks. same with the others i mentioned. :vapor:

Seriously....? I have to whip out my trusty binary translator??

Any advice on the two banana nut (bread) flavors? Are they really that different? I'm tempted by the Sticky Bun as well..... and the Sweet Cream.....

Sticky Bun is 50% Cinnamon Roll and 50% Caramel Candy and is quite good. I use it primarily with my Cinnamon Roll but it is tasty on its own as well.

Sticky Bun is delicious, and even better with Cinnamon Roll (or Pumpkin Spice). I've never had either of the banana bread flavors, but those who have say that Bananas Gone Nuts is the better of the two.

Welcome to the thread - we're not this silly all of the time. Just the majority of the time. :D

True, that.

I'm going to hide the 1's and 0's behind this lovely forum UI, now, before Uno comes back and makes us all go sit in a corner...

So I'm assuming you all don't want me to run the past string if posts through a binary to text converter? Makin' me work at it :glare:

Better be clean ;)
