That's clean too, there are no curse words in Irish... thus the modern day Irish people's love affair with various English curse words.

I remember them days ... happy they're just memories. I would say stay warm but you're probably chilled to da bone so it wouldn't help

I just managed to catch up for the first time in a few days I'm aware of the happenings in the mbv thread rather than just throwing out a random post without the time to catch up.
I finally broke down and ordered cinnamon role. I fear my taste buds will change once it arrives. I wish mbv had an horchata flavor. I haven't actually received mine yet (from another vendor forgive me) but I think the flavors should be an awesome vape.
Just got done trying to run off these holiday lbs. sucks to be reminded how self destructive the holidays can be.

Better than yesterday morning, but that wouldn't take much. A kick to the teeth would've been better than yesterday morning. I was going to try to take a nap, but I just got my paperwork from the newspaper. They're trying to screw me out of $400 from last month. Now I'm just angry. I'm just hoping I don't have to get a lawyer to clear this up. It's going to get real messy if I do.
I couldn't resist. And you can ask your Irish colleague, but you're very likely to get, "Oh, Jaysis, *Irish*? No clue; *no* one speaks *that* anymore." Of the 200 or so Irish people I know personally, 5 of them are Irish speakers... the rest wouldn't be able to answer a "Cád é mar a tá tú?" (hi, how are you?) There's a revival movement nowadays, but it's slow and painful going, because the Irish government utterly banjaxed the reintroduction of Irish into the Irish school system in 1962 (after 161 years of it being illegal), so most Irish born people a) hate it, b) can't speak it, and c) associate it with country bumpkins at best and violent Irish Republicanism at worst.
You'd hate a language too, if your school jumped from "hi, how's the weather" to "read Ulysses in this language - well, of course you can't, but pretend you did, and then memorize this answer in the language you don't speak."
Or, as an Irish friend of mine once said, "I memorized enough to vomit it onto the page for GCSEs and then my brain said "if you *ever* put another *word* of thatinto me again, I will trigger a total system failure, *do not think I am joking you*!"
Which is all part of why I put myself to learning it - someone's got to help keep it off life-support.
It's been on my list of things to do, but I only know little bits & pieces of it. I can pick apart simple sentences & *usually* get the gist of it, but that's as far as I've gotten as of yet. I looked into the Rosetta Stone software, but I just don't have that kind of cash to drop on it. It's much cheaper to buy a bottle of whiskey - a few glasses into it my heritage starts popping out & I start talking with an Irish accent
Some people have told me that I have a slight Irish accent on some words anyways, I've just never noticed it. Russian has been on my list for a while too - half my family is mostly Irish, the other half is 100% Lithuanian. In fact, the grandad that I never met was born some where near Vilnius, snuck out as a teenager & my dad was the first of the family born in the U.S.

Most I will vape, eventually. Others, I like to experiment and mix with each other. like Peanut Butter & Grape, Sherbet and Vanilla, Sherbet and whipped cream etc etc.
Actually I would love to be able to stick with 3 or 4 flavors, and ignore all others posted in this forum of sin & destruction. But.....I am but a weak mortal.......

Sadly, Ryan's in Glasgow so swapping with most of us 'Muricans would be impractical, otherwise I'm sure he'd have people lining up for it. There may be UK folks lining up for it too, but iirc he said he's going to hang onto it for now in the hope that he likes it again sometime.
You'll like Cinnamon Roll, it's tasty stuff. I wish they had a horchata too. I've been thinking about trying one from another vendor one of these days; it's got good reviews. (We may well be talking about the same vendor, at that.)
I spoke with my mother some years back about our heritage. I thought I would pick up a language, something besides Texan and Texican. She informed me that both sides of our family arrived in America from England in the 1600s. I really do not want to learn English and most English language people can understand Texan.
So now when people ask what my heritage is I just say "Murican"
