Thanks guys, not sure how the heck I missed that on there site. I knew it was there and must have looked a 100 times today for it.
:toast:

Just to be clear, just because one of those juices is listed does not mean it is a definitive set it stone fact that all of those juices will crack tanks, those are what is reported by some people as cracking tanks, the ones you really need to be careful of are citrus type juices, Amaretto, Maraschino Cherry are the worst offenders. I have had Thug juice, Hawk Sauce in numerous plastic tanks without any degradation of the tanks what so ever. That being said, it is ultimately up to each person to choose to go strictly by that list or not. So, if you are limited with the amount of tanks you have, or have no glass tanks, well then it is better to be safe then sorry, but many on that list have not caused everyone issues. YMMV

Dusty ... in light of this statement I think a run to ACE hardware is in order for you to pick up your safety glasses, ear plugs, nose clip, hard hat, and fire proof gloves ...... just sayin'

I don't know the "particulars" about the tank cracking juices ... people in this thread have had it happen to them, and documented it with pictures, so I know it happens ... but ... I pretty much vape black licorice and root beer (with a few tanks of cocoa mint and cherry thrown in here and there) out of a iClear 30s which is plastic and have not seen any adverse results to the tanks such as crazing or etching or clouding.

However. the good people on this thread have convinced me to only vape while wearing safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, nose clip and fire proof gloves .... but I'm starting to think it's not out of concern for my safety, but to make me look silly.

You mean they skipped one of the most important safety device, wow, how irresponsible that it was left out, that would be this one to ensure that you do not get any juice in your mouth or the dreaded VT or VF.... Human Muzzle.jpg after all, we want to be sure everyone is safe! :D

I tried to tell you you need a hazmat suit, so since you decided to go with the lighter stuff just don't come cryin' to me. I told ya so.

It's not the easiest thing to find...it's in their information section.

For once I need to agree with Butch and DustyZ. (Well, Butch anyway) This is from the flavoring MSDS for Natural and Artificial Butterscotch Flavor. I assume it would apply to the rest as well.

Section 8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection :rules:
Exposure Limits: Avoid contact with eyes, skin, clothing :danger:
Respiratory: No special requirements
Eye Protection: Wear protective goggles :2cool:
Hand Protection: Wear suitable gloves
Industrial Hygiene: Change contaminated clothing; wash hands after working with substance

Just sayin ...

Ok I did it the right way and I'm all caught up. That pug is ridiculous and I love it, my meaty is half pug and he can run, although I wish he couldn't cuz that's funny right thar. This visa crap causes me some concern, with my Canadian juice suppliers we all use interac money transfer, it's simple and easy but it costs a buck and a quarter, which isn't huge but it's a pain none the less. Add the $10 shipping within Canada and a well priced juice becomes expensive. Plus I can only get a 120 ml from my other favourite supplier at $45. I can get almost twice that at MBV for the same dough.

I'm really curious on how many DIY'ers here actually take all of that precaution. I planned on wearing gloves, period. My nic liquid is 18, so pretty low, and I plan on just doing a 30ml. bottle or two at a time....not like a Breaking Bad lab or anything. Is all the rest of that really necessary if I'm careful and have a steady hand. Just wondering what you all do because I've been told by a couple friends that they just mix it up in the bathroom away from pets and are pretty casual about it.
