I so very much appreciate the input, but really just looking for a carto tank at the moment
I wanted to try a carto tank so I picked up a Smok Tek DCT tank at the local MV store. I don't like it. It vapes ok but it sounds like a freight train is roaring past when you draw on it. Maybe I am doing something wrong I dunno.
Have you never read X-Men comics or watched the movie? It's good at any age

IMO...it's much much more about the carto than it is about the tank. I suppose that's why I don't mind continuing to use the Smoktechs.Too funny
Sadly, I have quite a few glassomizers/clearomizers just sitting in the vape box unused, I really have given up on them for the most part as they just don't seem to work well for me. I do love my carto tanks and RDA's though
I still use the polypropylene Smoktech carto tanks...they're cheap, come in 2 sizes, and they don't crack
I just have a few cheap ones right now, my ADV is in a $9 ikenvape fusion tank, but the chrome plating is wearing off to reveal plastic underneath. I was looking at an ibtanked 19mm with stainless caps and a clear glass tube, figured being plain stainless and glass it should pretty much last forever sans an o-ring change. Just kinda curious if there is anything else out there that people recommend. I can't see the sense of dropping $80-$100 on some of the high end carto tanks out there, but $30 seems reasonable.

cartos are louder than clearos
Its not the crackle I don't like, it's the sound of the air passing through it. Man is it loud.
I'm sure that the IBTanked products are fantastic, and to be honest that is what I would purchase if any of my Smoktechs died. So far, though, nothing has killed them.

Vapinstuff is tryin' to figger where he is. Cheryl is watchin' the cat squeezin. Uncle Ralphi is takin a nap. It is startin to look like Rooniess & Kelli have left the buildin'. Sambuca is learnin' to sppeak Irish from Sean. Mcol is still tryin' to figger why everybody wants to squeeze the cat.
