Cotton yarn is something I would like to try. I have quit trying to recoil any of my clearos. I've pretty much given up on them, although I do like the iClear 30, and think I'd like the iClear 16, perhaps some of the new ones. But really, I'm a dripper anymore. I'd rather put any future atomizer purchases toward something like a kayfun/Russian, perhaps a Kraken. Where did you pick up your cotton yarn? I feel like it would stand up to the heat of a low resistance coil about as well as gauze does.

I hear the peaches and cream cotton yarn at Walmart is a good deal. Cheaper than a box of sterile cotton and lasts for ages. Cotton yarn is one thing I have not tried.

Have to stop at Walmart on the way home now. Thanks for that.

Oh, I'm sure he's sending you one just for thinking of it. Genius! I suppose we need to start spamming this thread, we should hit a million in a couple days. :p

I like the way you think, mister.
I'll start waiting by the mailbox today!

I better be careful with my smarta** responses. On his faceyspace page, Bryan from Bryce's custard fame posted that he is now beta testing a new flavor. So naturally I responded that out of the goodness of my heart I would be happy to beta test 30 mil of his new flavor for him. Bryan responded that maybe I'd like to beta test his new Provari too. So he got it.
Then 20 people chime in asking how they can get in on this beta testing. *L*

I bought it at some big crafting store in a strip mall. Michaels. 2 bucks for a big ball or hank or whatever they call it. I don't think it's sterilized or anything, but make sure you buy it undyed and unperfumed. Yes, they perfume some of them. They do weird things to yarn.

Perfumed....whah? That's just totally unnecessary. I've seen the Peaches and Cream at Wally World. Almost bought it but I have a ton of cotton and gauze. However, I do like to experiment. Gonna go run a buncha errands with the SO here in a bit, will pick some up as well as some Loctite for my M16 (thanks for the heads up Fear).

I better put that yarn somewhere safe, now that I think of it. My cat will do her own brand of 'strange things' to a bolt of that stuff, I have no doubt about that. Especially if it's perfumed.

Hahaha! You, sir, are cut from fine cloth. Seeing all those responses must have made you chuckle, if not roll your eyes a tad.

Loctite red or blue? I hope that loctite is going somewhere far away from the juice. You do not want to be vaping loctite.

I've decided to make this crappy day a touch better by cracking into a bottle of Westvleteren 12. For you non-beer nerds out there, this is one of the hardest beers to get & has been ranked the best beer in the world numerous times. It's brewed in Belgium by Trappist monks to fund their abbey. Production hasn't changed in several decades, limited to about 60,000 cases per year. They do not distribute. The only way to get it is by calling a phone number & getting on a list. You have to drive to the brewery & pick up your case, which is limited to 1 case per phone number and license plate per 60 days to prevent resale. This is definitely a case where the rarity is not fluffing up the rankings... it's really that amazing. There are 7 Trappist breweries, but Westvleteren is the only one where the monks do the actual brewing, instead of hiring a secular brewer.

A friend of mine is an astrophysicist (& a hobbyist brewer) who just returned from a work assignment in Belgium. He brought me a few presents, including a bottle of the beloved Westy 12. Screw all the crap today has brought. It is now a good day. A very good day. A very delicious day. :)

I'm just going to sit here and be jealous.

In other news, Chicago just classfied e-cigs as tobacco products.

Guess where my office is?

Therefore, I don't have to wait for HR to get around to making a new policy. :)

The blue, if I remember correctly. And it's going on the switch threads. Just a dot, from what Fear told me. The M16 is a sexy little mod, clone or no, but the switch comes loose from use as you inadvertently end up unscrewing it. I tried a bit of dental floss, as well as teflon tape (which worked for about 2 hours). So, Loctite it is.

If you ever want to get it apart do not use the red. The blue should work to keep it from working loose but you can get it apart later if you need to.

Good choice. The blue is strong enough for the frame screws on a handgun I own, but you can still break the bond when you need to. And you know firing a handgun causes some stress. Those screws are firmly anchored 20 years later.
The red takes some heat to break the bond.

Thanks, yeah, I had read that, just wasn't 100% sure. The fact one is red and one is blue lent me to assume the red was probably permanent.

In other news, guys and gals, you might want to chime in on this thread. It may well have been done before, but the more and more user experiences we can accumulate in any corner of the internet is adding armor to our cause, I feel. Just a heads up. :)

EDIT: Ah, good to hear JohnQ. Sounds like just what I need, then. Wasn't sure how well it bonded, but if your gun is holding up after 20 years, I think my delicate touch should keep my M16 from falling apart. :D

It's not that bad, and it's slightly easier to wick a vertical coil with mesh... but changing the wick out without removing the coil is a more delicate operation than it is with cotton, so that side is kind of a wash, imo. Clean and crisp isn't really what I'm looking for with the flavors I usually vape, which may be part of why it didn't do anything for me... I can taste how it would be an advantage if I tended toward fruits and menthols, but since those are only occasional vapes for me, cotton works just as well, and makes swapping the wick out easier to boot.

I dunno I vape a wide selection of flavors and have several "flavor profiles" I switch to. I got the cleaner crisper taste, with the fruits and citrus it was not something I enjoyed at all. Plus = Cotton is easy mode. I like easy mode so I am with you there. It seems to me that the flavor I get from cotton is thicker? more dense? Hawk Sauce actually makes my mouth water in a R91 with a good build it just tastes great in everything else.

Finally caught up! And I didn't really cheat, although I skimmed a couple of posts :D

Hello fellow Bakerites I know I haven't posted in awhile. You probably won't see me on ECF a whole lot I've gotten pretty busy lately between looking for an apartment, getting ready to move, school, and a new MMORPG that I've gotten into. I did just place an order with MBV for Butterscotch, Hawk Sauce, and Fruity Gummy Juice, all in 50ml 6mg +1 flavor shot. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still vaping, and doing well.

PS- I just realized that on the 27th basically in 12 days will be my 6 month vapiversary.
Come back soon, we miss ya buddy :toast:
Wicked the Chi-Krack with cotton this morning.... muuuuch better. I guess that officially makes me one of the people who doesn't get the appeal of mesh. I'm okay with that.

And also experiencing a Vanilla butternut infused nic high. :D
Welcome to the club :D
Well I think I finally got my mother to completly switch over to vaping. I have been keeping her well supplied with everything she needs and I even gave her my old Vamo and I keep everything filled and charged for her. I have been telling her for the longest time just to quit buying cigarettes...if they are not there she can't smoke them. She prefers the carto tanks so I decided to dust off mine as well.

I think I might have gotten a bad batch last time and it steered me away for awhile. I ordered some more and these work great! Mind you I love my Protanks and my Aro's but some flavors just call for a cartomizer sometimes.
Congratulations Cocacola :) Maybe you could work this magic on my sister?? I've been trying for over a year now. The good news is that she vapes more than she smokes now, the bad news is she can't put the stinkies down yet...
By the way.....
I see James 'liked' my post about Mt Baker giving us all free R91s after the view number on this thread hits a million.
I can only assume that makes it a done deal. Hurray!
I didn't think he would  Count me in!

Good evening all :)

Hi folks.. I boiled mine before use, to get all of the unwanted crap out. They say to boil 2 times. Got Peaches & Cream at Jo-Ann fabrics. It's like 7 dollars (I think) for around 700 yards.

Speaking of cleaning, I did the house today and forgot about the most important part, my coils. Thanks for mentioning that. Have to get on that right now and then nappy time. Have to start a new work week. Have a great night fine peoples!
