Hi M, my first bottle of Sticky Bun was a 30ml, 50/50, 12mg with two shots (all of which makes a difference as to steep time), and that was fine after just a quick hot water steep - as you say, richer as time passed, but perfectly vapeable from day one, minus the couple hours in the hot water.

I loved it so much that with my next order I upsized to 3 50mls, all 50/50 18mg 2 shots, (increasing steep time by getting bigger bottles with more nic) and tried to vape it after a hot water steep plus about a week - two days with the caps off to evaporate the alcohol, then caps on and daily shaking.

Only tried it once.... bitter orange pith (not orange, just the pith) and a terrible plasticky taste. Took a further 2 weeks to steep to something resembling Sticky Bun, and another week before I dared actually load a tank with it.

So nowadays if I'm running lower than planned on a flavor, I grab a 30ml bottle to go with my 50ml bottles, cause those 50mls can take *significantly* longer to steep than the 30mls, depending on the flavor.

Ooooh, that would SUCK as a first impression! I added my bottle specs to my original post for clarity... Thanks for the info!

Happy Wednesday!

Ok thats it. I've got cin roll. I've got caramel candy. It's time to mix up some sticky bun.

start out with 50/50. I like to add Cinnamon Roll to my sticky bun so for me it'd probably be a 75/25 mix (cinn / Caramel)

Why not just re-bottle the large bottle into two smaller?

Yeah, I did decant it. Still took that long. The higher nic was part of the issue, I'm sure. Still, after that experience, I don't like taking my chances with being completely out of the flavors I like, while having 50ml worth sitting there staring at me... at MBV's prices, it's easier on my sanity to just toss a 30 ml in with 50 ml bottles, if I'm running low. I also try to plan better these days so that I don't run that low in the first place. :)

Thanks Amiaji and feartx for your suggestions :) I may go with the caramel and the sticky bun.. I am not a huge cinnamon fan, but maybe I will get a small bottle just to try it :)

Criticalmass! Now I want mac and cheese!!

Yeah me too. Macaroni's name has made me hooooongry. hehe

I really need to start taking notes on steep times. Is there a list anywhere that gives general guidelines for the various flavors?

Hi Amiaji,

Yanno, I think it would be hard to put together a comprehensive list, since there are so many variables that change from person to person that seem to drastically affect development.... It's been talked about but never done, probably for that reason.

And now I'm realizing that many of my juices were born before the Great Reorganization/Supplier Changes, so I wonder if I should even be commenting on stuff..... When WAS that, anyway?

Happy Wednesday!

I always wondered if dumping your juice into something large like a mason jar wouldn't decrease steeping time significantly, surface area and airspace being much more abundant and all.

I think DustyZ has mentioned that that is in fact the case - he does a lot of DIY.
