I read through that other thread & didn't see anything very harsh or derogatory. There were a couple of very mild complaints/comments about the volume of off-topic stuff in this thread, and how it can be a little daunting to wade through pages of conversation in order to find useful information or answers to questions.

On the other hand, comments like

don't really make you guys seem like the friendliest, most accessible bunch. I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm just pointing out that we're a community, we're all on the same side. Lets try to show a little patience, support and tolerance toward others (especially the newbies).

Just my :2c: Feel free to tear into me too, if you want.

Well, I apologize if it comes off that way, however the fact is that we were all new here at one time or another, I know I was back in July of last year, yet I was able to find out what I needed to know and had a question to ask and asked it in here and got the answer I needed, I however did not go in another section and complain about the thread being too friendly, this is what actually attracted me to the thread. And for a point of reference, myself and everyone else in this thread is more then happy to help anyone who asks, and if we don't know the answer we would be more then happy to point the person in the right direction. It is a big frustrating when you see someone stating that they could not find the information due to the thread being Off Topic, the fact is this a general chat thread form MT. Baker Vapor, it is not an official support thread, there is one on there and there are a few other threads as well for some other topics regarding MBV which everyone in here supports wholeheartedly and would be more then happy to assist anyone to the best of our ability. The statement that we may not come off as the friendliest is not a factual statement, it is frustrating to see those post stating they I didn't want to do this or that and then complain about not getting the information is unwarranted, if a questions was asked there are many people that would go out of their way to help and so much so that if they don't have the answer I have seen them take the time to get that answer or at the very least offer up where that information might be available. So, yes, it can be frustrating for those looking for some answers, but they will get them with some patience but conversely when there is a post complaining about not finding information that it's clear that there was no real effort find said information it can be quite disheartening for the veterans to see this as well and is frustrating especially as all it would have taken is a few seconds to post the question.

"tl;dr" means "too long, didn't read."

Often used by someone following a post that was so long that they didn't read it. Kind of rude.

Sometimes used in advance by the poster in the OP to give a "cliff's notes" version for people who won't read a wall of text

blahblahblahblahblahblahwalloftextblahblahblahblahblahblah

tl;dr: blahblah

Ok, thank you for explaining that to me, now I know! :toast: It's just not an abbreviation that I have encountered before.

Not...won't...address anyone directly but
.........
There is a thread in this forum to ask the owner of MBV himself
any questions. There is a live chat option at the website.
And this thread talks about their various juices a lot, plus we
answer any questions that come up and GO OUT OF OUR WAY
to welcome newcomers. There have been times a post has
been unanswered accidentally. If this happens I just ask the
question again, yanno? I have NEVER seen anyone tear down
anyone else. Jokes, off key jokes, sometimes jokes in poor taste,
yeah occasionally.
There are times you just put on your big girl panties or big boy
boxers and suck it up.
Instant gratification (wanting everything RIGHT NOW), will lead
to mistakes.
And I stand by what I posted - there is nothing wrong with being friendly.
Don't want to be friendly, don't have time to be friendly - then go ask the
company directly.
Pfft.

I'd ask you to be my mom, but somebody else already adopted everyone in the thread.

Sadly, I am probably old enough to be most of you's (is that a word?) mother.
I don't have time for 2 threads. I won't have much time for this thread soon.
This is the thread where the most people, and the most veterans of MBV hang out.
It is worth the inconvenience of weeding through some 'good morning John Boy'
posts. At least to me.

this thread seems like a great place to hang out and chat about mbv and everything else in life. with in 30min-1hour several new pages can arise and that one question that someone asked that pesron would have to sort through several pages to find the answer.
i remember myself asking a question one night being the patient guy i am i figured i'd look for my answer in the morning during breakfast... come to find out 10+ new pages had already came up.

i don't think anyone meant to offend anyone here in the other thread, just that they wanted a thread more based on the juice itself. i don't get what all the drama is about. people are being sarcastic by saying oh they say we are too friendly and like to chat.... maybe take it as a compliment how close the people in this thread is? i would...

whether the other thread was made as a 'Lark' or not there seems to be a handful of people that wanted a new thread like that

:vapor: Not going away but spring and fall get busy around here.
I will probably still be here daily no worries. I just won't have time
to hang out as much.

Kotton, here is the thing. Nothing bothered me about the new thread until the sarcastic comments started about how this thread talks too much. It's not the first time I've seen someone say something along the lines of "I was going to ask such and so in the MBV thread, but those people talk too much/that thread is not welcoming/they post stuff there I don't want to read *so I did not bother to contribute.*"

The whole "let's be nice to each other" thing cuts both ways. If you (general you) don't want to interact with us at all, then this probably isn't the thread for you, cause we're friends here and we like new friends. We can't be welcoming *if you don't post here in the first place.* If you want to see more juice talk here *then post about juice here*. I understand and accept that not everyone likes chatty threads, but if you complain about a thread being too chatty and not at all helpful, the people in the chatty thread are going to go "wait... how can we possibly address your question when *you did not ask it*?" If the people who want "just the juice ma'am" talk would post juice talk here, guess what... there'd be more juice talk and less chat.

Not telling anyone what to do, not saying the new thread doesn't have a place, different strokes for different folks and all that... but it *is* disingenuous to say "that other thread doesn't talk enough juice" when those same posters don't bother to post their juice questions here.

(Again, all "yous" are general, not specifically aimed at Kotton.)
