I appreciate your apology, Doug... most people don't bother. "That word" isn't allowed in our house, for obvious reasons. We use "lazy," "ignorant," "ridiculous," or "dumb," as appropriate. And yes, if one wanted to be pedantic, "dumb" has its own checkered past, but like a lot of words, the meaning is much broader these days. I think the r-word is headed in that direction, and in a generation or two, the sting from that one may have faded enough to make it general parlance... but the deciding factor for *me* in "is this word acceptable" is "is it commonly used as an attack on a particular group of people?" If so, I'm careful with it. It's hard to describe the *lingering* trauma words can cause, especially because it feels so silly to admit that a single word can ruin your day.

It took me decades to get comfortable with "cripple" because I heard it as a pejorative a lot as a kid. I'm still careful when and how I use it, because I know others haven't come to terms with it as I have. "Gimp" has always been an affectionate term in my mind (learned it as a self-referential from disabled mentors at camp, never had it thrown at me in a nasty way), but my sister still *hates* it, so I never use it to refer to her, and I try not to use it *around* her, either.

Isn't it amazing how much a little "disability" can teach you? How easy it is to overlook the value of people that have some form of "challenge" or another. Until it is YOU who are challenged. Mine is a small issue. I have a badly injured foot that left me with a bad limp, and I live with the pain every day. I have had a deepening respect for anyone with any degree of disability for seven years.

Being called "crip", or "gimp" never bothered me much, but for some reason I almost went off on a guy in WalMart that called me "Chester".

There are a lot of things I can't do anymore. One of them is feeling superior to "challenged" people. I got my comeuppance. That "Chester" guy will get his too.

I don't know any of you very well, but I have been around here enough to know that most of us have our issues to bear, and it is done with grace and compassion. This is a considerate and thoughtful group.

Now back to my SID and some Blue Moo!

Sean, I'm completely thrilled that you love it, btw, because I sent you just under half of what I had left. I need to order more asap. :)

It's getting much adoration and attention on my end, I've got about a ml left and it's being rationed while the rest steeps! I appreciate your sacrifice. :D

Having your posts 'liked' by 20+ people every time, serves as a handy bookmark in those cases. Click on the liked post link and it will bring you to your post, and you can read forward from there, looking for your answer.

Or subscribe to the thread. When you look at your subscriptions, there's a link that will (usually) take you to the last post you've read in that particular thread. I couldn't survive here without it.

I haven't had that particular issue, but I *have* made the mistake of leaving the water bottle elsewhere.

Vaping = pv + water bottle. Mandatory combo. :)

I forget what pg/vg ratio you are vaping, but if you up your water intake (and that means for a few days, not just guzzle a glass and be done) and it doesn't go away, leave the vape alone for a few days and see how you do. Since you aren't dealing with a nicotine addiction, that's your best test to determine if you're reaction to the juice, dehydrating, or possible have something else going on.

I see the formatting is going to be off on this, oh well!

This is a list of MBV Juices that I like for one reason or another, I made this
list for myself so that I know which ones I like, there are others that I have
tried and found that I either do not like them at all or they just aren't ones
that I care to vape but others love them, taste are very subjective and it's
a personal preference thing. I have found that while I love certain bakery
items to eat, I do not care for vaping them, such as Cinnamon Bun, love eating
them, just can seem to take to vaping them.

As another point of reference for my personal taste and due to the fact that
I have severe sinus issues I am adding what I use as an overall guide for
adding extra flavor shots to my juices that I get from MBV. this is only
a reference and as there are some people that have much better taste buds
you may wish to try the MBV juices stock and adjust after testing the juices
for youself, depending on your PG/VG percentage ratios. I personally only
get either 50/50 or a 65/35 PG/VG ratio and over the past 8 months after
quitting smoking I had in increased decline for the need of a strong Throat Hit
and have increased my VG ration accordingly. In addtion I was a strong menthol
smoker and when I first started vaping all the juice I was getting all
contained menthols to some degree, menthol still comes to play for me but on a
much more limited basis and also help "ME" when I have a bout of Vaper's Fatique
or Vaper's Tongue, whichever term you prefer. I have also lowered my nicotine
intake from the begging of 36mg and am now using a percentage of 6mg and 12mg
and very rarely now 18mg, this also lessens the throat hit.

My shot ratios are for 50/50 = 3 extra shots, 65/35 = 2 extra shots.

Below is a Ledgend as to my preferences for these specific juices.

***Note - Personally I found that term "All day Vape" to be inaccurate and
have rarely seen anyone have 1 single juice flavor that they vape exclusively
all day long without switching. So I am referring to mine as "Through out the
day rotation" TDR

TDR = Throughout the day rotation/also a must have juice for me
MIX = Juice used for mixing with others, very rarely vaped by itself
OCC = Occasional Vape
AGE = My personal preference for the time in weeks for the juice to be aged
OOM = Juice I find to be vapable "Out of the Mail" however it will still
benefit from a bit of aging but not mandatory to get a pleasureable vape

Now back to my SID and some Blue Moo!

Greybeard, I was born disabled (cerebral palsy, amongst other things) so I never had the "luxury" of looking at disabled people from an ablebodied perspective... something for which I'm grateful, actually, as I think it's made me a much more patient and measured person than I would be if I'd started out ablebodied. I *have* experienced the emotional turmoil that comes with being robbed of abilities one used to have, thanks to other, acquired disabilities I've collected along the way, so I do know well some of the transitioning of which you speak. Both come with their own challenges... being congenitally disabled means constantly proving your worth and your right to exist, while acquired disabilities involve re-evaluating your own life and abilities, and realizing just how much you've pegged your self worth to what you're able to physically do. Certainly, they're both difficult paths, but rewarding, too.

I've often said I'm not really interested in a cure for my congenital issues - they are a part of me and the life I have always known, and having 32 years of *my* normal yanked away would be highly disorienting and open up a whole moral debate about why being born disabled is inherently "less than" - but I'd take a cure for the acquired stuff in a hot second, because that's not part of *my* normal (and because the acquired stuff is the painful stuff).

Morning, Pig... haven't experienced the issue you're having, but it might be a hydration issue.

 You might want to consider flipping to 50/50, since you also had an issue with canker sores earlier. That's also a common reaction to dehydration. I'm fine with high PG juices, but I've had to move to more VG this winter because it's been *so* dry.

Got my Vapemail :) and to my surprise, there was an MBV package also. I put an order in a couple nights ago and didn't get a confirmation, so I chatted with Hans and he told me he didn't see anything on his end either. Strange that it showed up out of the blue. I left them a message and I'll have to see what's going on with my account. Okay, I'm done.
