Hmmmm the adjustable airflow does kind of intrigue me ... the site doesn't give the dimensions, so I'm officially telling myself that with a 5ml capacity it will NOT fit in my VTR ..... so THERE you enabler you!!!

*L* I'm not trying to talk you into buying a nautilus. Not at $3.50 per coil. But it's something to keep an eye on for if/when those coil prices drop.
Speaking of adjustable air flow, the Kanger Aerotank is pretty awesome too. And the aerotank bases I put on my PT2s and PT3 made a world of difference. No more gurgling and leaking on my PT3.

Like I've been up all night and need some coffee.....and you? Is the ankle any better since you first posted this?? I hope so. I am having worry about your ankle! :(

You don't have to worry about me miss roonies. Just like anything else, it just needs some time. From day to day, there are better & worse ones, but on an overall upward trend. I'm guessing I've got about another 3 weeks or so in the cast. Slowly but surely. The boredom going from 100+ hour work weeks to 25 hour work weeks is much more likely to do me in.

I love my Aerotank base, they improve a really good tank to begin with. Although I did convert the crappy PT3s I have to PT2 with PT2 replacement tank bottoms. That little bit of extra space if you install a PT2 coil in a PT3 does cause them to leak when they are on their side overnight.
I bought my first one at myvaporstore.com, it got here really fast and I liked it so I bought one for every PT I have, at 4.99 it was a deal. 7 days later they are still not here. Shows to be processed at the Flushing, NY post office though. Woohoo......

To my uneducated eye the Davide and the Kanger PT line are pretty much variations on the same theme ... so just like the old days when you were either a Ford guy a GM guy, or a MOPAR guy .... I guess I'm a Davide guy.

the davides perform just a little bit more consistently than the ptank2, but the ptank2 had a slight edge in flavor.

Hmm, I own Mopar, love that truck, I own GM, love those old Jimmy's and Blazers I have one of each. I drive a Ford truck daily because it is stock, has the least miles and gets better GPM :)

It also does not perform any better than the Aerotank in my opinion. The Aerotank performs just like a Protank 3 with an Aerotank base on it, which performs almost as good as a Protank2 with an Aerotank base on it.

Just my perspective on it.

That's some good salesmanship there. Now I'll never buy an Aero or a PT3. :p The best thing only positive thing at all about my PT2 was cleaning it, putting it in the box & trading it for some juice.

My experience was very different. Aspire must have been going through a bad phase. 3 or 4 of 5 coils in three separate 5 packs were bad for me. I got so mad I chucked the stuff. They only vaping gear that I have thrown away instead of passing on was aspire stuff. :) Found out later I could take the collar off and grommet out to run kanger heads in the Davides and was sad.

They just work for me, fill tank, install head, let prime, easy peasy mobile vaping, pocket friendly, no burning, dry hits, leaking or gurgling.

Things may perform differently outside of the Arctic Circle.

The PT3 was a swing and a miss by Kanger and by me for buying one. Mine was a gurgling mess until the aerotank bases came out. And now with the much superior Aerotank out, the PT3 will fade away.

In Grimm Green's review for one of the Aspire tanks he had a similar experience he was only getting 2-3 coils that worked well per 5 pk.

I still think Kanger's BDC heads are junk and I am a fan of Kanger products generally.

They stacked too much heat generation together and packed it tightly in SS which screws tightly into more SS.

If you chain vape Kanger BDC stuff gets really hot on the bottom and Caramelizes juice in the tank. Which kills the flavor.

i thought you were talking about regular davides, not bdc. how were your coils bad? you have to keep something around to pull the pin down on the coil of the bcd. (like each time you put them on)

as far as regular coils go, kanger beats davide. Sean and a few others have been using the ARO coils with some degree of success.

Must be it. I called mine the LeakTank Pro. It leaked better than it vaped. Did nothing but gurgle. Vapor was meh. Flavor was the worst out of anything I've ever tried. I went strictly cartotank after that & stayed that way until I got my KFL. Now I've got 2 KFL's & 5 IBT's.

Bad like one coil of two not working = much higher resists, or neither coil working even with messing with the center pin.

ARO coils seem to be a bit more consistent with the resistance than Kanger's are. Both work excellent as far as performance goes, ARO coils are a bit cheaper.

What do I know? I'm still trying to figure out how much cotton to feed into a PT single coil. I watch a vid on it, the guy feeds his cotton in like 5 seconds, and is blowing monster smoke. Easy peasy.
I try to feed the cotton in, my bad eyes can't see the tiny opening, takes me 10 minutes to get that shifting piece of cotton in a channel I can't see, and my PT immediately floods and leaks all over.

Hmmmm .... I've changed a number of the dual coils and never had to pull the pin down

I have a few carto tanks and enjoy them generally but hate messing with them when it comes to refilling. I also regularly go in and out of air conditioned spaces all day. Summer time rolls around I can be at 68 degrees for 3 hours then be in 110 degrees for a few hours. Nothing makes a carto tank empty itself like rapid heat/pressure changes. For some reason the Protanks are not as bad when it comes to that. Drippers are even better for that.
