Must be it. I called mine the LeakTank Pro. It leaked better than it vaped. Did nothing but gurgle. Vapor was meh. Flavor was the worst out of anything I've ever tried. I went strictly cartotank after that & stayed that way until I got my KFL. Now I've got 2 KFL's & 5 IBT's.

*L* I moved away from cartos TO the PT2. Got tired of the awesome taste of polyfill and changing roasted coils every 4 days.
All my PT2s have performed solidly. Flavor is average. They really need to change the wicking system and/or material to upgrade the flavor..

What do I know? I'm still trying to figure out how much cotton to feed into a PT single coil. I watch a vid on it, the guy feeds his cotton in like 5 seconds, and is blowing monster smoke. Easy peasy.
I try to feed the cotton in, my bad eyes can't see the tiny opening, takes me 10 minutes to get that shifting piece of cotton in a channel I can't see, and my PT immediately floods and leaks all over.

My trick for coiling and wicking with cotton....

I have three pairs of reading glasses on my desk.

1.25 for the computer screens, 1.75 for general reading, and 2.00 for tiny stuff. I put all three on over lapping at different heights when reworking coils, I can have varrying strengths up to +4. Looks really silly but works really well for me :p Entertains my wife as well.

I have a few carto tanks and enjoy them generally but hate messing with them when it comes to refilling. I also regularly go in and out of air conditioned spaces all day. Summer time rolls around I can be at 68 degrees for 3 hours then be in 110 degrees for a few hours. Nothing makes a carto tank empty itself like rapid heat/pressure changes. For some reason the Protanks are not as bad when it comes to that. Drippers are even better for that.

Pressure doesn't affect my carto tanks at all. I live in the mountains, so I'm up/down constantly... usually at a pretty rapid rate. Every morning I go through ~2000' of changes. The cartotanks handle it better than anything else I've had.

I've used IKV & Smok cartos, both taste worlds better than the PT2 ever did. I don't really keep that close of an eye on how old my cartos are, but with average juices (NETs mostly) I swap them out every 10-14 days. As long as I take the time to prime them correctly, I've never had polyfill taste out of them, other than a bad batch of IKV's that they replaced free of charge. Those weren't wicking for anybody though.

And that's where I stopped reading. Smok cartos are awful. Taste awful, perform mediocre. And if only 1 out of the 5 is DOA you just beat the Smok QC odds.

They're not that bad, but I prefer the IKV's... they're just never in stock & I can't afford to drop $75-100 bucks on them when they get stocked out of the blue, just to hold me over until the next time. They both beat the crap out of the PT2, both in flavor & performance.

It is amazing how different peoples perceptions on things are.

OK so moving along with our conversation earlier this week about finding a "value" e-pipe that doesn't look too terrible. I started reading more and more on the Kamry K1000. Apparently you cannot use a fuse, not a deal breaker entirely but some people are also reporting that the solder is melting/bubbling wiring etc. etc. can only use flat tops batteries.
It is still an option though.
The only bad thing I have been able to find about the Smok Pioneer is that you have to be careful with the switch locking ring, it you get it too tight unlocked or locked it can stay there. It comes with a fuse as well as being able to use flat or button tops.

Still searching and maybe considering modding one or even all of my actual pipes... May just bite it and order a nice one at some point as well.

Hawk Sauce would be awesome when vaped like a sir.

The Multiquote hates me. Good morning everyone. My wife is still sleeping so I guess it was a seizure last night. She didn't have any more though, which is also odd. (Usually she will have several over a period of hours, one big one and then some aftershock types for a while).

Sean > Regarding Laptops:
Have you thought about a laptop/tablet combination? Google voice on the tablets is pretty good for when when your shoulders are bothering you, all you have to do is activate it and dictate your replies and posts. :) If you are not a gamer (on the laptop) No need for a high-end machine. I have a couple HP's from about 4 years ago still going strong but their quality has dropped off since then. Toshiba's are also pretty sturdy, their one weak point is the charging port as they are somewhat delicate (I love Mac's Mag port for this reason), BUT it is a relatively easy fix. Dells are decent too. Samsung and Sony laptops are pretty but do not hold up as well over the long haul unfortunately. Laptop Forums and Notebook Computer Discussion is a good place scan for research / reliability issues that might pop up on various models of laptops / brands. Dell's Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets are also very affordable but their screens are not on par with the iPad (they are also a fraction of the cost).

Regarding Kangertech Heads:
They are indeed very inconsistent. BCC heads or BDC heads, doesn't matter. I still use the stock heads because they are easy but I usually find 1 out of 5 need some re-work to be decent. Once recoiled and rewicked they are much better.

Regarding Woodchucks:
But they are so small and cute! :D

Regarding Banana liquids:
I have Banana Cream Pie aging. I too am put off by Banana vapes but it does smell REALLY good. Have not tried it yet though.

Regarding Amraann:
Very pretty images!!!!

And I have now forgotten the rest of the posts I selected for response. I hope everyone is doing well this morning. Oz, I'm sorry your ankle is throwing a tantrum this morning. I hope you can take it easy today.

I have found an odd pattern with vaping gear. The really good deals or releases of fast to sell out stuff never coincide with my money drops. They happen as soon as I have spent "discretionary cash" or a few days before I get paid... I am too much of a weirdo to use credit for these things. I never charged tobacco I don't want to further my obsession by charging vaping gear.

... some stuff than only Sean would take the time to read ...

:p

I got a nap in & I'm feeling much better than I did this morning. Not sure if I'm going to make it down to the shop today, which kinda sucks because there is a small project I really need to get done to pay off a trade. I already received my stuff from the trade, so I'm feeling a little bad that I haven't got his out the door yet. He knows my situation & is probably less worried about it than I am... but still, I don't like owing others money/things.

I have no idea if this this is any good. I just stumbled across it.

$40.14 OH618 1800mAh Stainless Steel Shell Epipe - Mahogany

Their linking is funky, so if you get an error read following that link - put focalecig.com in your addy bar to get there and put 'pipe' in the search box.

Funny how that works. I will use credit... sort of. I budget my actual income through Quicken so I know how much I've got to spend - then I'll make charges on my Cabela's card to rack up points & pay it off with the money I've had budgeted for it. If you pay it off right away, you don't get charged interest, so it's sort of like using a debit card but having the money come out of your account once a month instead of several smaller charges that all add up to the same amount.

Before I quit smoking, I pretty much used the Cabela's card for cigs/beer. I would joke around that I was smoking & drinking my way to a new rifle. :D

I am the same way. It's like a tick in the back of my brain that constantly nags me until I make it right, but taking it easy today could mean shaving a few days off the healing time on the back-end, ya know? :)

Um... it's my ankle, not my ..... :p I know I'm a PITA sometimes, but sheesh! (Edit:  wow... the censored filter picks some weird words to block)

I've been getting down to the shop in hour-ish long bursts, sometimes twice a day if I'm feeling good, but this week just shot me down. The unexpected trip to the city on Monday put me out of commission through Tuesday. I got some parts glued & clamped on Wednesday. Felt like crap on Thursday. Did the next stage of the glue up yesterday. Probably not going to make it down there today.

The worst part is I had it 90% done, but I wasn't happy with some anomalies in the grain that didn't show up until I had the shape roughed out. I'll occasionally sell those pieces at a discount, but since this was for a trade, I wasn't going to let it leave my shop like that. I started on the new one last Saturday with hopes I could get it in the mail yesterday or Monday.

I have an American Express, I use it for EVERYTHING I purchase in person, I use it for anything I spend on expense account, the points are excellent, especially the free expense account ones. I just do not use the other cards much at all, maybe a few store specific ones that I get discounts with.

E-Cig stuff and video game stuff and most online purchases I make using a prepaid Visa.

I am weird.
