Good luck Dusty, have faith in ya' :)

Thank you! I need to brush up on the Excel as I have not had a need to use it very much for a few years, not too make Health Care Business offices use that much other then to for some corporate reporting that needs to be done, most everything else is handled with Patient Accounting Software which also provide in-depth reporting facilities, so I was a bit taken aback by the assessment test for excel. lol But that's ok, I'll brush up on it tomorrow when I am a bit more clear headed, have one hell of a monster headache today and can't get rid of it and hate taking pain medication but will need to with this one.

Finding employment in Florida is probably the most difficult task anyone faces. Florida has an influx of population ranging in the 300,000 to 400,000 people yearly, and only about half of those people are retirees (who are more a drain on Florida's economy than anything else because they are notoriously cheap. The only market that flourishes is real estate). Probably about a quarter of that influx is people moving to central florida to have their "dream" job of working for Disney World, and a lot of those fail within the first year and end up in poverty.

FLorida is not an easy place to find work. As bad as it is everywhere else, it is worse there. Dusty will find something eventually but if the rest of the country is waiting 6 months for something to come up, it can take longer in Florida. A lot of people who were born and raised there are being forced out by the retirees coming in and jacking up real estate prices, but not really contributing to the rest of the economy in any meaningful way, so it is tough and Dusty is doing an awesome job hanging in there and not giving up. Lesser people might have admitted defeat and left. You Go Girl! :D Clownfish.

You really hit the nail on the head...It stinks here to try to find work...and when you do, the pay is rotten !!

Also, I'll be honest here and say I have been less inclined to respond as much because it appears I might be part of the problem. I have yet to return to purely a lurk mode but it is coming. I don't want to be the problem. This doesn't mean I don't care about all of you, I consider all of you here my extended family, the one I didn't have for so long. It just means I don't want to be part of the cause for ruining it.

Crit .... the point is .... you are not part of any problem .... there IS no problem .... this thread is what it is and nothing more, we are all here because we enjoy each other.

sometimes we talk juice ... sometimes we talk hardware ... sometimes we complain about our aches and pains ... sometimes we sympathize with each others sorrows and celebrate each others successes ... and sometimes we're just plain silly.

THAT is why this thread is great

and as far as I'm concerned, if someone wants to cut to the chase and just talk juice .... well now there is a thread for that too.

I dunno...I've been in Florida since '77 and have never been out of work for more than 3 days.

Just put in my my first order for 2 50 ml bottles of green apple & red grapefruit. Never had Mt Baker but hear lots of good things.
Will follow up.

Couldn't wait to steep it for 2 weeks, (I know, I know) so I loaded up the Grapefruit & haven't put it down since yesterday, so I'm pleased. Very good flavor, a little thinner than my other juice maker's 50/50 mixture, but a very nice vape.

I've used them before, but it's easier & cleaner to skip them when mounting a Kanthal coil. Working with electronics or tight/small wiring, they're a godsend. I've had to do just about everything else to a guitar, but thankfully I've never done a fret job. Looks like a real PITA.

Yes, it can be a royal PITA, not really all the difficult, but as you stated, it is a PITA, but it has some advantages. It's not something that I look forward to doing and thankfully it's one of those things that just don't need to be done very often. :D

I'm lucky to have a decent sized juice supply... but I still keep eyeballin that bottle of Blue Moo that showed up yesterday.

Glad you're enjoying it now. Just imagine how much it'll improve with a touch of age.

It didn't work for Butch, but the Grapefruit stands a fighting chance.

So far I am really liking my new combo of eMax Variable Wattage eGo Batteries and the new smaller ARO II. I think they hold about 1.5ml. They use the same heads as the original ARO. It almost seems to me that the vape is slightly warmer and just a tiny bit more flavor. I'm using them at 6 watts the same as I use the originals at.

PS- I have Egg Nog in the blue one and Peanut Butter in the black one.

I'll do just about anything else, but back when I was gigging 250+ nights a year, I had a guy who I trusted for the dirty work :D Don't really play much anymore so I don't think I'll have to worry about it again. Although I do have a '95 Strat that I haven't pulled out in years that might have needed it before it got put away. That was the limited edition year, after the big anniversary thingie, where they released 500 each of 4 colors with painted headstocks.

Uh, That was meant more along the lines of everyone perpetuating this silly thing that is going on. It wasn't meant specifically at you.

I can see where some people are taking things a bit too seriously. I mean really it is another thread about MBV juice, who cares? Everyone is allowed their opinions.

I do not know that there is anything to address, it is just people being people. Your post was well stated, you got the point across, many people having been doing that over and over again for the last week. Granted not as eloquently as you.

I did not mean to offend, was making light of a silly thing that is going on.

*goes back to squirrels*

You didn't, sorry, I'm a little out of sorts, major headache and I mean major, I had to shut the darn blinds and turn the light on the laptop down to low as the light it hurting my eyes, I really need to refrain from posting when I am like this which thankfully has happened much, I don't know what brought these headaches back and on top of that this darn gallbladder is also acting up. I'm going to need to lay down soon after taking the darn pain killers, I really hate those things. So my apologies to you if I came off too gruff, it was not a personal thing, just came out in a bad light. I think I spent too much time in the Outside! Had to get out of there as the IQ levels seem to be extremely low in one particular section and 3 Einsteins!

I dunno...I've been in Florida since '77 and have never been out of work for more than 3 days.

My Ex and I lived there for 5 years. I have the benefit of having lived in many different states throughout my life. Believe me, it is tough. Even in the Healthcare industry it is extremely tough. RN's with more college behind them than others can start at 16 an hour. Radiology techs with 2 years can start at almost 19. The problem is, again, the retirees. Most of them are on medicaid and for the health care industry to maintain a profit, they pay less and cut jobs. By far, Florida was the hardest place to live in and make a decent wage. I would have to make double what I do now (and did) to just survive. And the real estate market makes things even worse. Every apartment complex we lived in eventually turned condo and we were forced to leave or pay an exorbitant amount for a 1 bedroom. The only places that didn't turn condo's were the ones that would never have made it because they offered little to no appeal. I also grew up in California, so I know that side of the story too, and they are very similar places to live with very hard economies to survive in.

It's pretty bad when Firefighters and Police are being forced to move because even they can't afford to live there, and the problem is spreading upward from Miami. Hotel workers were having to be bused in from up to 2 hours away because they could not afford to live in the area where they had to work. So yeah, we will have to agree to disagree there.

Let's quit concernin' ourselves with the other thread, there's room for more than 1 sandbox. If any of us feel our help and answers aren't appreciated then we have the option of not posting there, it's really that simple. Most of the helpful posts have come from the regulars on this thread ironically enough...

Unfortunately I'm havin' a hard time postin' from where I'm at so I'm not in the position to go into great detail or debate...

True! :toast:

I haven't really seen any posts on here from "them" balling "us" out ... just thought it would be a fun experiment to see if "their" reluctance to contribute on this thread and "their" need to start a no fun thread was warranted. As it turns out ... maybe a post or two or three gets lost in the background .... maybe the rapid pace of the back and forth patter intimidates someone new to the thread ... I don't know .... it seems to me "we" are friendly enough everybody (except Uncle Ralphie and Butch) that "they" shouldn't be shy to speak up a second or third time to be heard over the chatter ... but I DO understand why some may have felt the need to start that second thread ... and I still think it's funny no one responded in that thread either.

Hey you old geezer..........(*phbbt*):p

Hope you get to feeling better man. You are dealing with a ton of stuff as it is, you didn't need the headache on top of it.
