I'm missing hanging out here the last couple of days. I have an order on the site just waiting for me, but my mom, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for 4 years, took a turn for the worse. She's in a hospice home in Kansas City and I'm in NJ so I'm flying out there Sat. Looks like I will be having my order sent to my daughter's house there. This is going to be a test...after 2 months of being smoke free I do not want to start up over all of this stress. I'm planning on loading up my check in bag with all of my juices...double bagging and praying they don't leak....hardware going into the carry on and into a tray. Wish me luck. This will be my first time vaping around my family and you can be sure I'll be power vaping. Not a happy time, but I'm grateful to have my ECF friends. I always know I'm going to get good support here. And a final thought.....tell someone you care about that you love them....don't wait. :)

So sad to hear and my prayers are with you and your family. My uncle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed after only 6 months after the diagnosis. Your mother has held up a good fight! Be proud for her!

Today's random question:
Anyone have any experience with using these (DV CE4+) with any of MBV's long long list of potential tank crackers? I'm curious if they held up for you, or if putting Key Lime or Creme de Menthe in a clearo is a pipe dream.
When I was trying out top coil clearos, I used the DV CE4+ with both Root Beer and Key Lime without issue (both for about 2 weeks each). It was a risk on my part, but they held up fine. If you try it and the tank fogs, pour that juice down the drain and move on. YMMV

This is rough news. Hang in there and I hope that all turns out for the best.
I always use similar types of flavors in the same tanks so the taste is not contaminated with harsh flavor changes. I think the menthol is hard to get out of a tank to change to a non-menthol type flavor.
I think menthol is difficult to get out of the wicks as well. Some members are rebuilding clearos with hemp wicks, and part of that process is to boil the hemp before use. One member puts a little menthol in the boiling water and claims that every juice vaped with the mentholated wick has a slight menthol flavor.

Thumbs up on Hawk Sauce & Protanks

I wash my tanks/coils in hot water then soak them in a glass in the sink and shoot HOT water in it to circulate every so often.
I also hold my finger over the opposite end and blow through the coil assembly, rinse, blow, soak some more, etc.

I use Evod coils in the PTs to get a less airy hit.
5 coil pack for about $6 at Discount Vapers and their shipping is fast.
Kanger eVod Coil Replacement 5 pack - 1.8 ohms

I found the previous juice's taste passes in a few minutes to the new taste but Hawk Sauce is strong and might take a few minutes more.
Don't give up on whipped cream though, use a fresh coil for it or something.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a 5 pack of Vision Nanos coming in. The Nanos seem to give a better vape and a less burnt hit than the clearos that I have been using (they are going in the trash). I'm still kicking myself for not ordering an atomizer for testing out all of the new juices I have.

I'm having some weird issues with Protank though. It just seems to die on me on occasions. It's being powered by a 650 eGo VV battery, could that be the issue?

I'm stuck with vodka here in OH FWIW, no grain alcohol allowed here.

I'd ask them if they can do this for you. Extra flavor shots shouldn't affect the flavor mix, but I don't see why they couldn't give you extra shots of just the fruity flavor if you asked. They also have the build your own flavor where you select what flavors to mix, but you'd probably be better off getting their advice than trying to guess a mix.

That's probably the best idea. If I knew which fruit mixes were in each one, I might just buy the flavoring or the individual juices, but I have no clue on two of them. I'll use the chat feature when I get ready to place my next order. Thank you!

Those little Vision Nanos are great, IMO. Part of the non-burnt hits can be attributed to them being bottom coils, but I also think they are very well-engineered. It can be difficult to change flavors, just as a warning, it sometimes takes a full Nano for the first flavor to fade...soaking in vodka overnight can help, as can vaping plain PG through half a tank (don't inhale, just vape it through).

The ProTank should work just as well on a 650mAh eGo as it does on any other battery. What do you mean by "It just seems to die...?"

So if I switch the PG/VG from 80/20 to 65/35 how many shots should I add to maintain the same flavor level/strength?
I personally would try 15ml of the same recipe, you're only making a 15% change in your base. Then, if you think it is too weak, you can bump it up by a flavor shot.

That's what I thought. I have absolutely no clue why the Protank won't hit at times. It's an occurrence that I really can't explain. When it didn't hit I disassembled it and then put it back together. Sometimes it worked, others it didn't. Thought that my batteries were not powered up enough. Charged up one of the 650s to full capacity and it worked fine. Maybe switching out juice has something to do with that? Kind of bewildered Loving the Protank when it works though

btw those Vision Nanos rock. I previously bought 2 of them and I think the 1 that cracked was due to Cinnamon Bun. The other has Solar Flare in it and I know that I'm going to have to finish the bottle on that as there is no way that I could swap out a flavor on that nano.

Did you check the positive pin connection on the ProTank? Since the connector has the slit cut through it, it might be possible that it isn't always touching the post on your battery. Make sure the head is screwed in finger-tight...the two sides of the slit should be flush with the bottom of the connector on the base. If the two sides of the slit are recessed in the connector, unscrew the head and ever-so-slightly pull the connector out of the white insulator and screw the head back into the base. See if that helps...

I'm surprised that the "bakery" cinnamon in Cinnamon Roll would crack the Nano before the citrus in Solar Flare did it...interesting...

I order 50mls 5 at a time for free shipping MBV has yet to let me down on the juices I order.
Only got one of the freebies that I didn't like. Lemon Breezy it's vapable but I'm not a fan & wont order it.
Glad I found out you can do requests with the freebies.

I just added +1 when I did that change. It seemed to be just right, for me.

ETA: Or try what Stoneface said. :)
That's what I was thinking

You might want to try a process called "post pulling" on your Protank. I had the same problem and had to pull the post a few times. Here's PBusardo's video I used as a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIx9QRgggYM

Basically I just stuck a small screwdriver in there and wiggled that center post back and forth a bit (careful not to bump it into the sides) so as to pull it out to be flush with the bottom, and make sure it's centered when you're done. I was told a push pin or map pin also works good as well.

PS vodka is what I use too cuz we have it on hand, don't generally stock grain alcohol in the liquor cabinet.

Yup, that's what the deal was when my Protank was refusing to fire sometimes. Next time I cleaned it, I made sure the coil head was screwed into the base securely so it didn't move around too much and it hasn't seemed to happen any more. But definitely take a look at that pin pulling video I posted above too so you can see the problem in action.

So if I switch the PG/VG from 80/20 to 65/35 how many shots should I add to maintain the same flavor level/strength?

I go with a 65/35 +1 Flavor Shot as a base level myself.

Hi all,

It appears I am now a member of the club. I have been vaping for 3+ years (with some slip ups from time to time where I went back to analogs) and have never tried Mt Baker Vapor. That's not to say I haven't heard of them. There are so many vendors out there that you could scatter the field to try and get that elusive good juice and still only hit 2% of the market. I've heard good things about Mt Baker though.

Just lately I've been getting into Naturally Extracted Tobacco (NET) juices but I am no means a NET snob. It's been a while since I have put in an order for non-NET juices and from all I've seen and heard MBV was a good choice.

I've put in an order for butterscotch, butterscotch tobacco, yellow cake, dream tea, rum tobacco, maple rum tobacco, tidewater tobacco, Ankara and American Tobacco, Juicy Fruit, Graham Cracker and even wine chablis! I am pretty excited about trying these! My cart was made up of a mixture of high rating juices on the site, good reviews on ECF and what sounded interesting.

Nice to meet you all!

hi ya Anthony.. welcome to the thread :)

The Butter Toffee is lighter than Butterscotch but if it's clear and you get no flavor at all then tell them.
They'll fix any problem as fast as possible and probably upgrade the bottle size.

I doubt they will upgrade the bottle, it is a 50mil bottle, so doubt they will upgrade to a 236mil bottle

Now nervous of getting the same flavor, so will see if can change the flavor altogether, will call tomorrow and report back.

Just another thought on this.. you might try getting a bottle of the flavoring instead of the juice replacement or adjustments to rev up your current juice.. could be a flavor your tongue needs a smacking around to *get*

I'm ok with a bit of a risk (wouldn't have bought them if I wasn't), but I figured it also couldn't hurt to ask about other people's experiences.

Protanks are a bit out of my budget right now (considering I'd want a few), so we'll give it a go. I think root beer is one of the biggest tank cracking offenders, so I think I'll try both the Creme de Menthe and Key Lime (I bought two to try out), and see how it goes.

It's been awhile since I gave a full review, so here's a few...the usual blah-blah about "these are only my opinions," and "each juice may taste differently to you" applies...I dripped each flavor with a 1.8Ω dripping atomizer and played with voltage between 3.2 and 3.7 volts. I apologize in advance for the wall of text :)
Cucumber Mint: This is a fairly light but complex and lightly sweet flavor. It is a little heavy on the mint, IMO, since I would like to taste the cucumber just a bit more. I get most of the cucumber on the inhale, without much mint. The exhale is predominantly mint with a hint of what should be cucumber, but to me tastes like the aroma of fresh cut grass. The whole vaping experience of this flavor makes me think "bright green." I also (weirdly) get just a hint of salt on the exhale. Overall, this juice reminds me of the mint jelly that my grandmother used to serve with a lamb dinner. I don't know if many of you have had this super-bright jelly, but the flavor of this juice is so similar to it that I had a sense memory vaping it. A visual for you:

White Wine: Okay, I'm not a huge white wine fan, so don't shoot me :D I don't like this flavor much at all. I really didn't get much of anything from this one dimensional flavor in inhale or mouth feel...for me, this juice is all about the exhale. Exhaling through my nose was most unpleasant. I will say that the flavor, especially exhaling through the nose, is a true white wine flavor. However, it is that cheap Italian restaurant table wine flavor. The killer for me is the sourness of the flavor; it is not a sour candy sourness, but more of a vinegar sourness so that the overall impression to me is a wine that is about to turn. With that said, there is a saving grace to the flavor White Wine so it's not all bad and horrible. I dripped 1 drop of White Wine with 2 drops of Spring Break...the result is a tasty white sangria flavor :thumb: If you have White Wine and don't care for it, try mixing it with a sweet fruit flavor and you might be pleasantly surprised. The unpleasant sourness of the White Wine was balanced nicely by the fruit in Spring Break.
Spring Break: This juice actually feels juicy in the mouth, and it is sweet with a slight tartness. The predominant flavor I get is mango, but it is mixed with citrus and a hint of what could be apple or grape. There is also a slight chemical perfume tartness similar to Sweetarts but with more sweetness. The inhale is all about the mango and citrus, and I only get the hint of apple/grape on the exhale. Now that I read this description, I am surprised to add that these flavors are not candy flavors, but more true fruit flavors. This one is definitely a winner for me.
Jungle Juice: This, for me, is all about coolness with tart fruit. The inhale is pretty much all coolness and makes me wonder if there is both menthol and Koolada in the mix. The exhale is more coolness with tart candy fruit flavors, and reminds me of my childhood drinking really cold Hawaiian Punch. I think Jungle Juice is definitely brother to Thug Juice, where Jungle Juice is cooler and a bit sweeter. They both have tart candy fruit flavors. I wish I hadn't run out of Thug Juice so that I could directly compare them...oh well, I will have to order some Thug Juice soon to compare them.

I will post the next 3 soon. They are Melonade, Farmer's Market, and Whipped Cream.
