I have been wondering this myself. I've been vaping 12mg and even though I don't feel like I overdo it, I get tingling/numbness in my fingers so I am going to try 6mg. Are you using a 80/20 pg/vg to compensate for TH?
Just want to say I'm finally trying the tobacco flavors I ordered on the 16th. Greatly appreciated the suggestions from Michael on which to start with.
Uncertain just how long to wait for stepping, decided to give the USA Menthol a try today. Not bad for 10 days old!

I just got some 0 nic Whipped Cream and Graham Cracker (can't sleep at night) and it's CLEAR, lol. I guess the nic is part of the coloring. I mixed it with my 6 mg. of Grandmaster and it's pretty good. I was able to fall asleep easier.
Do you need to steep 0 nic juice? Since I mixed it, I couldn't really tell flavorwise. I'll probably throw them in the US cleaner anyway.

You, Stoneface and Opal are the MBV Aficionado's. There is a reason why Whipped Cream and Graham Cracker will be in my next order.
I use no nic whipped cream for everything and yep.. clear. That was the way I ordered it the very first time when I fell in taste bud love with it. I ordered it in 12mg - with an extra shot - once and I have that bottle, almost untouched still.. from last November. I add it a few drops at a time to other juices to put some nic in.. it's very dark and was when I got it. I am not at all about the throat hit (except on Cafe Coffee.. that one it doesn't bug me vaping) and the 12mg WC really knocks the crap out of my throat.
That is the juice that convinced me that extra shots just are not necessary for me - unless it's a tank cracker/carto only juice - then .. maybe one extra shot.
I don't vape anything over 12mg - and have a crap load of no nic juice too.. some 6mg for afternoons when I vaped myself silly in the morning on 12mg. I do chain vape. Hubby says in the evening when we're watching TV that I am his pet dragon.. it does get cloudy.
I sometimes even vape no nic.. straight VG - so I guess for me a little flavor goes a looooong way.
A while back, I got some 36mg all VG no flavor juice for in case we have a VapeApocolypse to add to things when necessary - it's holed up in the freezer, just in case.
I think it's possible that higher nicotine levels dilute the flavor some - where those extra shots might be helping.. but I could be wrong.. it's been known to happen. (shh.. don't tell hubby)
in other news.. I think I'm closing in on that after dinner butter mint thing. The latest concoction (not measured) is around half butterscotch and half cotton candy with just a few drops of candy cane - a little mint is all it really needs. I'm not completely happy with it but it's darn close now.. it might need a little less butterscotch and possibly whipped cream (for mouth feel) or Bavarian cream.
now I am torn.. order more cotton candy to play with (have the rest of the stuff in 50ml bottles) or do a few make my own on site things to try... OR order those flavorings and mess around with some of my straight VG.. yeah.. it's a conundrum.. and I am lousy at making decisions

I just cleaned off my giant dresser, got my order from wizard labs. Got the flavorings and VG from MBV. Syringes (free) from Walgreens. Watched the videos. Got the calculator website bookmarked. If I can do this, you can too!!
oh.. I'm completely confident that I CAN do it.. it's more of a do I want to DIY ~~ and then there's the matter of finding an empty flat surface that's not a bed to concoct on.. and I'm trying desperately to stick to the KISS principal.. and limit my gear and supplies. That's why I'm not all about modding or RBAs.. just want to stick a vessel on a battery and go.

I'm a chronic tinkerer... But I'm trying to follow the same philosophy with vaping. Just a handful of clearomizers, a few winders, and pre-made juices for me.

So because I love Thug Juice I ordered a 50ml bottle the other day along with Black Ice and Pineapple Peach, asked for USA tobacco as my sample. Is either the Black Ice or Pineapple Peach good right away? I'm going away for a few days and really want something fruity for while I'm at the beach.
I really love MBV, but I got extreme ice and it was just bad! Oh well. I also got 555 for my hubby who loves his tobacco flavors and it's just gross. I feel bad but it smells awful and tastes just as bad. Anyone else had a problem with 555 or how long should I steep it. It's about a week old already.

Yeah the menthol cough drop flavor in extreme ice is just terrible. I will be swapping this juice LOL! I was hoping the 555 would be good for my hubby (to get him on a tank and off cigs for good) but he said it is nasty so I tried it and I agree. Maybe it just needs to steep for a long time! Oh well I have my cotton candy and that's all that matters. LOL
QTPie, I use 555 and really like it for the rich nutty flavor. I've found that at around 2 weeks, it's good. I get mine at 65/35 with 18mg nic and 1 flavor shot. It's a rich deep amber color when it steeps. Hope this helps

OK cool I'm steeping it like crazy. It just smelled bad and like salt if that makes sense. I will keep trying it and then I'll know when he will be ok with it.
the way i look at it, there are soooo many great flavors available, why do you want some nasty old tobacco flavor? that's the great thing about vaping.... getting away from that ashtray taste.
Agreed. I got the 555 Menthol and thought it was horrible. Reminded me of hazelnuts I think. Anyway got it steeping, perhaps I'll revisit it in a couple months
Do really like MBV as a whole though, live chat was very helpful with choosing a flavor.
I steeped mine about a month. At first is was horrible. Then after a month it mellowed out very nice
