JimCal, I'm an ex cigar lover too and I gotta tell you, that 555 is AWESOME. The tobacco to me tastes like a Fuente 8-5-8 or a Partagas. Really good, rich Dominican flavor with a slightly sweet nutty taste. It usually takes about 2 weeks for it to reach it's potential and then it's GONE!

I think that depends on how the coil is configured. If I recall correctly, there are coils that are at the bottom of the tube - like what I'm using and some that run horizontal in the tube? Getting the filler out isn't hard.. tweezers or stats and just pull it out to see where the coil is. My first cartos had a flavor that I didn't like so pulling that filler out did not hurt my feelings at all.

I mixed some of the Almond Delight with the Butterscotch tobacco and Cinnamon Roll and WOW! it was pretty good too

I'm a 555 freak, no doubt about it. What I notice is that fresh 555 tastes like an intense caramel with barely any tobacco, but after about a month it becomes a cigar tobacco with a hint of caramel. After that, the caramel pretty much disappears.

The 555 was one of my first 2 ejuices. The intense caramel with barely any tobacco is exactly what I'm tasting! Good to know what to expect when it hits the month mark...

anyone tried the caramel candy? this is the second time I have tried it, forgot I had ordered it before and both times it has such a peppery taste that is not good at all. only 12mg nic so it can't be that. nothing sweet about it at all and I can't taste anything like caramel. what is wrong.....ever other juice I have from them is great.

I think the caramel candy is excellent. For me it's almost too much caramel and sometimes I tone it down with whipped creme. It's one of my few non fruit vapes in my daily rotation. How long have you steeped it? I would give it at least a week, two would be even better. You can also try adding some whipped creme to it.

I'm starting to worry about the effect of the plastic on the juice after its been sitting for weeks+ in there, do you guys think this is a valid concern? Isn't it possible that some of these harsher liquids(tank crackers for ex.) can break down the plastic and then you'll end up inhaling whatever broke down? I was looking in my vaping cabinet today and I have plenty that are months old, including a extreme ice container that feels flimsy-er than it did originally.

Are you concerned or no? Any recommendations for better storage?

Using tank cracking juices in plastic tanks is definitely a risk, and it is not a good idea to vape the juice that has been sitting in a damaged tank. Flush it down the drain. For me, if I find that a tank has been damaged, that goes in the trash as well. I would also get rid of anything that I merely suspected was damaged. I got into vaping to get away from all of the harmful chemicals in tobacco smoke, and I'm not willing to replace those chemicals with mystery mixes of juices combined with melted plastic.

I do not let juices sit in any device longer than 2 weeks. It gets vaped, or it gets dumped. I store my DIY juices in glass, and I will transfer vendor juices (if I've had them longer than a month) into glass.

These are just the steps that I take for my own personal safety and comfort, since no one is really really sure about how e-juice affects the plastics long term. You should decide how comfortable you are with plastics and then take steps that will match up to your risk tolerance.

As I found after a week it would have a musty smell in a tank if i didn't finish it. So I use amber bottles to store what I make & keep my flavors in a dark cabinet, it would help with some flavors that are more nautral I have read. basic nic can last upto 1year to 1.5 years I hear. but whats in the flavoring have no clue.

if it smells odd, I dump it down the drain!!!

I didn't necessarily mean juices sitting in a tank, although that is a concern too, I'm really more worried about the juices sitting in those cheap plastic bottles that MBV sends. The extreme ice bottle for example feels weaker to me, like the sides of the bottle has actually gotten thinner and more pliable.

I checked MBV and it doesn't look like they sell glass bottles, do you have a link for a good place to buy them? I think it would be better to transfer it immediately for now on if possible.

Sorry, my mistake The bottles that MBV uses appear to be LDPE, which should be fine for juice storage with no leaching for at least a month. In doing bottle research, I've read that there might be some leaching with LDPE and reactive juices (citrus, cinnamon, etc) but it is my understanding that this only occurs in the long term. Since they are often blow-molded, it's possible that there will naturally be variation in wall thickness because of the process itself. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the juice eating the bottle away if you just got it, and someone with a Reo might really like to have that bottle for squonking

Specialty Bottle is a popular source among DIYers for bottles. There are other choices as well...some even buy them on ebay. I'm partial to the cobalts, and I prefer to get them from the same place if possible (they look more organized if they are all the same).

just got my MBV order today, and it had me cracking up a bit. they threw in a bottle of "JOHNNY CHIMPO", and very nice smelling maple/banana juice, but it was the name that had me giggling. being that i live in japan, i read the last name, which in japan means " pecker,dong,schlong etc" and almost had to rip off half the label...haha. im just not sure i would ever live down bringing a bottle of "chimpo" juice to work...nonetheless, cant wait to get home and start trying some of these flavors...yes, even the chimpo juice...haha

Really can't answer that one Pumpkin. The flavor seems to be good for me after about 2 weeks.....once it's good to go, it's never lasted over a month I order 30ml bottles and while I'm using one, the other is steeping so I always have one ready to go

It looks like they should. They would be the 8oz bottles, and it appears they go up to 32oz.
