So a friend of mine reached out to me and asked what's a good place to start vaping since the choice is overwhelming him. Considering he's fine with tech, I was quick to point him to some decent VW mods without battery hassle like the COVminivolt and eleaf isticks. However, I have no clue what the best current tanks are for MTL people. Is it still the vertical coil nautilus mini? Anyone got ideas? If I was wrong to recommend those mods please let me know too.

Thanks.

I think your choice of an iStick and a Nautilus tank are awesome for your friend. :thumb:

There's no need to complicate things with a sub-ohm tank, and especially not with anything rebuildable at this point. K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple, stupid)

This.

I quit smoking cold turkey with a iStick 40w and a Nautilus Mini.

Cheap, good products, readily available and no need for a charger or external batteries.

I still use my iStick fairly regularly. Thing has been bashed around for almost 9 months and it works like new.

At this moment for the tank, I'd probably set someone up with a Nautilus X, but with the new 1.8 coils. These are key though, as the 1.5 coils aren't that great. The Nautilus Mini is a great standard, but the bottom fill just seems like one extra step that I'd try to have someone new avoid. Plus these new coils do seem to have better flavor, with only the slight trade off of drinking a bit more juice. And is just so damn tiny and sexy in comparison.

For the mod, ya something like the istick 40 (I actually like the 30 slightly more because the sleeves hold better...side note) but actually, there are so many great tiny mods now with the same battery life. I'm waiting for that new joytech evic basic to pair with the X, and I feel like this will be the winning combo. But tons of options- I wouldn't over think the mod, just get something small and simple with an internal battery.
