only the past year i started dl, which had there been more mtl rda's out i'd probably not have switched....trying to mtl on an rda isn't so easy... everything is 810 drip tips and even nearly closing off airflow, is still too airy for mtl....
now i'm somewhere in between mtl and dl, mtl is too tight of a draw and dl is too airy :pervy:

No right or wrong way to vape as long as you're vaping safely. Unlikely that you'll hear that kind of negativity here.

I'm a bit odd, in that I DTL but I do it on tanks that aren't really designed for it. I vape at about 1 ohm at ~20 watts with the airflow all the way open.

Completely agree with you! Seemed like right around 2015/16 everything switched to DL.

MTL just didn't do it for me. I quit trying to vape because of all the different products I tried and didn't like. Then I discovered DTL and loved it. But I don't hate MTL products or the people that use them. People are different and whatever works for them is Ok with me. (Not that they need my approval in the first place).

I was a MTL guy for a couple years. I remember I was hanging out with my friend when he pulled out an IPV 2? I think? And told me to try DL. Never looked back. Although whenever one of my buddies has a MTL device, I never turn it down. Nice to Reminisce sometimes.

I prefer a cooler, longer hit as well. Really fill up the lungs.

Just wanna say I see a lot of hate between MTL vapers and DTL vapers on social media. It has to stop. We are all part of a huge vape family and we should respect each other. So tell me .....you MTL or DTL???

Feel free to add a pic!

It's dumb, but it happens with a lot of things in life. Seems to be human nature, my way is better than your way. Why? IMO some people do not have the capacity to understand that what is best for them might not be best for others. It is what it is and it's not going away any time soon. My opinion is to each their own, and I don't judge unless I feel someone is promoting something that could hurt others.

I vaped MTL for a few months because I smoked that way. I've been DL since then. I DL everything, even 10 watt setups, though I'm mostly at around 15 watts.

Left to right, Rose V3, DoggyStyle, and my Mutation X V1 on a Nemesis for those occasions when I feel like a more aggressive vape.

Whatever works for people, is the best for them :)

I tend to agree with the OP. I’m pretty vape agnostic. I started on MTL back when that was all there was. I switched to DL, then just recently, because I had to take a long road trip with an asthmatic passenger, bought some new MTL gear. It was fine. I liked it. I’ve got DL mods and MTL mods now and I vape whatever happens to be nearby.

When I advise a brand spanking new vaper I generally advise MTL with a larger mod capable of doing DL if MTL isn’t doing it for them. Analogs are MTL, so it will be more familiar. Some people absolutely need DL to make it work though, which is fine.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

DL can provide satisfaction in situations where MTL can’t sometimes, and can have a richer fuller flavor.

MTL is sometimes more familiar to new vapers, uses less juice (so less money) and it’s low voltages can allow for a smaller mod.

When I see hate, it’s generally because some people find the very large clouds produced by DL to be obnoxious. They’re not wrong, but vape clouds still aren’t nearly as annoying as cigarette smoke.

Started MTL, still MTL and loving it although I recently won a crown 4 addy so filled er up, gave it a few hoots, had these clouds all over the kitchen... said ugggg not for me, then again I'm not into cloud chasing so back in the box never to touch it again. But at least I gave it a shot. Now I know for sure I'm an mtl vapour, but what ever keeps you satisfied and off the stinky's is whats best for you :)

I resisted the DL for quite a while. Got laughed at by the young uns in the vape shops that were all blowing clouds. STM changed me and my style and just eased into it after that. I still do both. I like a .7 coil at about 20 watts for MTL first thing in the morning (full air also) but by evening I am blowing my hair back with .25 ohms and 60 watts.

Hate? I haven't seen any hate. People have different preferences, but hate is such a strong word.

MTL, but I dislike very tight vape, so relaxed, loose MTL.
