MTL vs DTL

You call “that’s a ..... set up” for a MTL device poking fun? See it in the Reddit and youtube comments all the time.

You might not have seen it but I have. Hate might be a strong word but definitely more than just “poking fun”

It’s been great to hear all the responses. I had no idea how many people are MTL vapers.

I'm still an MTL vaper after 5+ years I'm more than happy for people to vape as suits them best - that's what's so good about vaping - it can be "tailored" to suit each individual.

Not the full contingent. Just favourites and "ah hah" moments along the way. I left out the bloopers. Turned full DL on December 17th 2018,
In less than a month I went from "berserker tight" being my favourite to Dead Rabbit or Horus over half way open being my preferred.
Flavours are better, fuller and with more depth, vape is cooler in the mouth, nic hit feels smoother, more natural and requires less nic mg.
I dont think I would have quit ryo cigs using DL, I think it had to be tight mtl just like I smoked tobacco. All good, I moved on.

Aha. There are more bad MTL options available than bad DL setups. All the really really old stuff is MTL because it came first. Also basically all “gas station garbage” devices are MTL. MTL as a concept isn’t bad. It’s just that if you want to make a flavorless, expensive to vape, poor performing device it’s usually easier to make a MTL one.

Simmonsd515, there's no right or wrong way. Just what works for you.

Personally I'm a DTL style vaper, MTL just doesn't cut it for me. I use a Vaporesso Luxe kit with Skrr tank and GT CCell coils in TCR mode set at 88, 25 to 30 watts and 250°C approx and airflow wide open, and that works for me.

Should go without saying that just like any other issue, there are boneheads on both sides. DL'ers that look at it as competition are DBbags. And MTL'ers that think the only right way to do it, and think everyone that DL's is nothing but a cloud-bro way are jerks, too.

Sounds like you're just in the wrong social media areas (which seems to be most of them).

+1 MTL'er here. I've DL'ed some juices, and it's okay. I just don't need that much vapor to satisfy me.

I dont hang in circles where that kind of negativity is accepted. We get enough negativity from the ANTS, I dont need to hear it from within our own ranks. I just go somewhere else.

Whatever keeps you off the stinkies is good by me.

Now, "in fun", I have been known to razz the squonkers a little bit, but that is just horseplay among friends.

Much better battery life, smaller less bulky mods, in my view better flavour and much longer lasting liquid and cheap to maintain I don't get why grown people are so in to blowing clouds but i say do what ever makes you happy.

I have a pico I keep when I need something small and compact. I like the color of that one too! Awesome set up

Right now Im using a pico 75, like you! I have a 3.5ml single coil rta on it, a 0.7ohm ss coil and run it around 11watts or 380-400f with TC . It is pretty much the same dimensions as the set up you are using. I only use single battery size mods, they last just as long for me dl as they did mtl because I use them much less. I also only use the same amount of liquid as I did when I mtl the difference being that I use much a much lower nic mg.
Its just as cheap to maintain something like a Serpent elevate as a vapefly galaxies mtl, there is absolutely no difference.
I could use lower ohm coils and crank up the temp and use less nic but more juice and I do have rta's set up that way but thats not really my thing.
Anyway, glad you found your preferred way to vape.

Still the exhale on a mtl vape with a good mtl setup i think is unbeatable only drippers have came close for me.

Yeah theirs a difference blowing a couple of poughs of vapour than when you see DL vapers letting of volcano clouds in public smoking areas. Great way to help big tobbaco i say

I'm not trying to disagree with your taste, but here is how two people can taste so differently.

When I tried the crown 4 with what ever coil it came with about 45W doing dl hits, the vape felt much hotter, with less taste and very unnatural for my lungs. I also didn't get a good tight TH that I get from a MTL with a 15mg nic
