I have been using cotton for quite some time. I like cotton. I used the organic cotton balls ordered through walgreens and then boiling them. I got a wild feeling and decided to try some vaping bacon, which I like, some muji and Ko Jen Do. ON the Japenese cottons I am having some problems. WHen I ry to pull it through the coils it just simply pulls apart. THe cotton balls and the vaping bacon does not do that. I know the obvious answer is the cotton is to tight to pull through the coil, but if I make it loose enough to pull through there is not enough cotton to keep from some flooding. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks

I use Muji all the time with no problems. Are you cutting the cotton lengthwise with the grain? If your not, that is the only way I could imagine it falling apart when pulling it though the coils. I usually cut a strip and pull off the outer layers. I lightly comb through the strip with my fingers removing loose strands. Then, I twist an end and pull it through. I've never had any problems with it falling apart when doing this.

I agree with Mr. Fabe - it seems that you're cutting your Muji cotton against the grain. I take a sheet of Japanese cotton, peel a thin layer off, cut a small strip off going with the grain, and tightly roll it into a wick. If the wick is too thick to fit through my coil, I unravel it a bit and cut some more off. Once it's rolled you should be able to pull it with force and not have it fall apart.
