Uh no. Just pointing out you could read about it if you don't want to test it for yourself. But you're not on the frontier.

I wish I understood what you are trying to say, but I don't. Are you telling me that I need to test rayon? I have a small truckload of it in my vape den. And I intend to test it. But Chinese viscose of unknown quality with "who knows what" contaminants? Sorry, no.

Sorry I interrupted your thread. Ignore me and carry on.

Paul, like i said: I don't know what you are telling me. Is there a specific rayon I should be looking at? I have a box of Graham Cellucotton. I have both grades of Fiber Freaks. They're all rayon spun from solution, just packed to different densities. Is there another rayon available that is significantly different than these? What is it? Not trying to pick a fight, but, apart from density and fiber alignment, rayon is rayon as far as I'm concerned. Educate me.

Magaro...did you get the odd taste with the first few hits?

Doesn't say its 100% cotton on the packaging I received...haven't been to their website yet to check it out further.

Haven't tried it yet - busy playing with other toys. The website says it's Pima cotton, with no mention of anything else. It sure is pretty. Hope to try it tomorrow.

Planning to start some juice retention experiments tomorrow. If life doesn't get in the way.

Intensely scrutinizing your link right now. If this doesn't spec out as some reprocessed rayon/viscose nonsense, I'll place an order.

Damn, it's tough out here on the frontier, isn't it?

It's not reprocessed rayon I can assure you of that, it's got a very different feel. It's been mentioned here before and has a thread.

I can send you a sample if you'd like. It's a pain to work with in a tank for detailed wicking as I said, but you can put it in an RDA no problem. The amount to use is different from cotton and rayon.

Elfwick

Gnarly with a capital G. No two ways about it.

Right out of the package:

Tear a piece off and admire the knots and wads and fibers and little twigs.

Keep pickin’ at it, and it just separates into a bunch of clumps and strands, held together by some decent looking fibers.

It’s possible to tease out some long fibers and build something that looks sorta like a wick. And to be fair, if you do it carefully, It has pretty good tensile strength. But damn, it’s a lot of work.

At 10X, the incredible inhomogeneity of this stuff is readily apparent.

Ugly stuff. But this isn’t a beauty contest, is it?

I'm in agreement with Paul; there has been a tome of discussion on this topic already published, and more than a year of submissions from numerous interested parties on Jeremy's thread. Experimentation of all materials and devices are performed by ALL of us, although some are more clever than others, and I personally have gleaned much of my education from other's research. In fact, I find that my Rose and Ataman attys work better with Lyocell, and the Erls and most drippers work better with loose Sally's type rayon. I've been sold on this stuff since the beginning.
