Actually any multimeter should be able to do that. Check Harbor Freight or similar stores, or even Lowes Home Depot. If you want something that you just slip the battery into that gives you a good or bad indicator, that's going to be hard to find. Just get yourself a simple multimeter that has a digital display and can do DC and Ohm. The one I have is highend only because I kept it from my last employer, when they said "clean out your truck"... I cleaned out my truck!

You do NOT need to get a Fluke if all your doing is testing DC voltages on Mech mods and the batteries. If you want to test voltage on a APV some use Pulse width Modulation and then you would need a meter that will test True RMS but they are more expensive. An Inexpensive Wallymart VOM or Radio Shack one will do if all your doing is simple DC voltages.

I just purchased over a MadVapes an Smok Omnitester. It reads ohm resistance, voltage drop on mods, ego batteries, pulse modulation vv mods, etc.... compared it to my vamo reading ohms for a dual coil build. The Omintester instantly read .2. My vamo read .4. Boy I was ....... Didn't know which one was correct. Then I keep fiddling with the vamo and the ohms on the dual coil drop to .3. Now I still wasn't sure which one was correct so I hooked up my dripper and fired it up first before I made another reading.

The Omintester still read .2. I put the dripper on my vamo and now it reads .2. So my conclusion is the Omintester hits the mark instantly. I did test my other drippers and even though my vamo is not accurate at first it does eventually read the same as the Omintester.

Never get a cheap ohm reader from you know where. It is way off and then it will break within a months time. I only use it for a building stand.

I own the $5 Harbor Freight MM and it does the job, but I don't trust it in reading resistances below 1.5 ish ohms. I exclusively sub-ohm and I don't get consistent readings from this MM's resistance mode. It does a good job in checking the voltage of your batteries though lol.

The resistance checker of a MM is the most important mode when it comes to vaping IMO, so I wouldn't cheap out on a MM. You don't need one of those crazy industrial MMs, but you should invest in something a little better than the Harbor Freight meter

I have the same issue. The ohm tester reads say 2.04 and the eVic reads 1.9 but it is a consistent variation. Meter reads 1.99 eVic reads 1.9 so from the testing I have done I think the variation between the 2 devices is about .04 ohms but i am sure which one is the accurate one since I don't have a 3rd device to test with. I would imagine the eVic is rounding the reading as well since it does not go to 2 decimal places. The little ohm meter is like the one above $20 (not Smoktech though) so i am not sure which one to really trust but i am not sub-ohming or anything so i am ok with the deviation.

As long as you're not making very low resistance coils.... If I was making 0.2 ohm coils, I'd be paying for a good meter.
Yeah... some of the cheap multi-meters from Radio Shack, Home Depot et al, won't read anything less than 2.0Ω. A 0.2Ω coil will still read as 2.0Ω.

Oh boy... here we go with the decimal place thing again
