You won't get ANY infractions!!!! Spacekitty is NOT a mod in any which way, shape, or form. She is the ONLY one who will be ticked off with anything.

Her 'ticked off' was preceded by a rude incursion into, and, a deliberate disruption of a long-standing thread.

She also happens to have a broad and wonderful appreciation for many types of music (go back and see for yourselves), as well as a great sense of humor that is MIA 'round these parts.
These parts had occasional humor but the main focus was meeting the challenge of the game and of possibly discovering some 'new to you' music to love. Humor is available in abundant supply elsewhere at ECF.
I've tried and tried to get her to rejoin the game that she long ago abandoned (except for periodic frustrated drop-ins), but she still won't play any turns.

Awfully kind of you after you were the main cause of the turmoil here. You're a capable communicator and could've used your abilities to ease new game participants into the thread after establishing a well-mannered relationship with the long-term players.

Whenever you're so inclined to put in the extra effort it takes to avoid duplicates in a game that started back in 8/10, have some fun and play a turn. NO ONE will object to a little added chat with the plays EXCEPT for spacekitty. (Chat as much as you'd like on the other thread, by the way).

Chat was kept to a minimum for precisely the reason previously stated -- it makes searching even more difficult than it is. There's ample chat availability on ECF, including on existing music threads. Here it's been -- the music speaks for itself. sk can speak for herself, but, deflecting the blame to her after both lauding her and generously 'trying to get her to rejoin the game' is really too much.

I've said this a bunch, but we're all here for a few kicks. It's cool meeting fellow vaping music junkies. Two games = even better than one (especially cause they're rather different). Everyone should be maximizing the fun-potential of ECF. That'll only help it to grow and thrive:toast:!

People were having fun here. A former player remarked that things were a bit stale here and new players would be welcome... New or rediscovered music -- Nice! That's what could've been.

Growing and thriving presupposes members willing to actively think what their footprint will be on a thread they enter. They must ask themselves -- Is it a thread that has value to me? What is the value?

If the value can't be identified or if the thread does not have value to the new thread participant their choices include disruptively imposing their ideas, hanging around a bit to figure out the written and unwritten thread rules or finding/starting another thread. There's plenty of room at ECF.

Can I get an amen?

People are having fun, though I, too, would love to see many more ECF members step up to the challenge and join the thread.

progg, I'd love to know where you've been?? The rules you all established have stayed in place. There is another song-string thread that is a bit more lax, and where a little chat's a-ok; and I think that having them both growing is super. I feel like I sorta know you because I HAVE spent a good deal of time enjoying the history of the thread (though floridamale's plays are typically the ones that foil so many of my intended plays). You do not know about the PM's I've received from new folks who are put off by the consequences from potential accidental mistakes and duplicates. I also know that others who used to play have left the thread for the same reason. Feel free to ask SK about my friendly appeals to play some more of her tunes. And please let me know when/how I've been rude. I have only discouraged rudeness and encouraged friendliness in reminding new/old players of the rules that govern this harder version of the two music games. I have seen that accidental duplicates have been a fact of the game from the get go. One question I have is that, earlier in the thread, SK said that a two letter match is the minimum required. In the other thread, it's three letters. Is this still this thread's minimum? Vapers who love music should be enjoying either or both of the two music games.

Thank you for your very eloquent and valiant attempt to defend this thread, but I am afraid it has fallen on deaf ears...

You have been a great asset to this game (and a fellow Prog music fan)... I'm sorry to see you go!!

Why don't you go check when progg actually left? Besides excess chat, which we can leave to the other game, how has this thread deviated from your vision/ideal for it?? I've been trying to understand that for quite some time. Educate me.

Progg always came and went from this Game at his own leisure... but made his leaving it permanently now "official" in a PM to myself and MK... not that it's any of your business!! :grr:

And if you don't understand the damage you have caused to this Game by now, I surely can't tell you... thrunforhills.gif
