So good to see you guys; you can see that this thread is not overpopulated. I sure wish you'd both play a few turns whenever the spirit moves you.
Hey spacekitty, do you ever play songs, or do you just come in here and hassle people?
Fair question.

You did not play off of the correct song...
And the reason the thread isn't over-populated is because you have chased them all away!!!
I will keep "hassling" people when they don't play the game correctly... and not searching because you thought a song was too obscure is a perfect reason!!
Perhaps another time.I was going to jump in here and try to join in the game, but now I'm confused.Perhaps another time.
I'll see this thread shut down first!!!
Oh, be nice, SK. It's only a game, my dear. That's in the past tense...![]()
What was this even in response to? "First"...before what, exactly? What would be the grounds for attempt to close a thread with such fine longevity, that was not started by you, and in which you haven't been playing? subversive, and potential intimidated onlookers: unlike the other music game, you cannot play off artists' names here, only the songs' names. Unlike the other thread, according to SK, the BARE minimum to match a song is 2 consecutive letters, whereas it's 3 in the other game (the more of a match, the better). And you really have to always use the search thread tool (top/right) to make sure that your song is note a duplicate or a cover of a song that's already been played since 8/10, when the game started, as they do not count. ECF threads should not only be for only the elite few to enjoy. That's just baloney, pure and simple.

These parts had occasional humor but the main focus was meeting the challenge of the game and of possibly discovering some 'new to you' music to love. Humor is available in abundant supply elsewhere at ECF.

Awfully kind of you after you were the main cause of the turmoil here. You're a capable communicator and could've used your abilities to ease new game participants into the thread after establishing a well-mannered relationship with the long-term players.

Chat was kept to a minimum for precisely the reason previously stated -- it makes searching even more difficult than it is. There's ample chat availability on ECF, including on existing music threads. Here it's been -- the music speaks for itself. sk can speak for herself, but, deflecting the blame to her after both lauding her and generously 'trying to get her to rejoin the game' is really too much.

People were having fun here. A former player remarked that things were a bit stale here and new players would be welcome... New or rediscovered music -- Nice! That's what could've been.
Growing and thriving presupposes members willing to actively think what their footprint will be on a thread they enter. They must ask themselves -- Is it a thread that has value to me? What is the value?
If the value can't be identified or if the thread does not have value to the new thread participant their choices include disruptively imposing their ideas, hanging around a bit to figure out the written and unwritten thread rules or finding/starting another thread. There's plenty of room at ECF.
