Hi guys

I've been using this build on my Mutation X V4 rda for over a month now. Dual coil twisted A1/Ribbon reading at 0.32ohms. It's a great vape but the spitting/popping is getting dangerous.

The hot vapor doesn't spit from the drip tip but actually through the side air holes, both the bottom airholes and side airholes. When the rda is flush on my SXMini M Class the side holes face me and away from me and I get boiling hot liquid hitting my chin from the front holes and at my eyes from the rear holes. If I turn it 1/4 rotation so the holes are facing the side I just get crazy spitting out to the sides flying everywhere.

I've rewicked it since this but it's pretty much the same.

What can I do about this? It's really going to blind me at some point.

Edit: Btw to give some idea about the wicking I clip the cotton at the edge of the deck then tuck it in and use Drago cotton.

Hmm I haven't had a spitting problem with mine, but I'm running a 24g parallel single coil, 3mm ID eight wraps .35 ohms. I have also been using only the bottom airflow for the side with the coil only, mmm flavor is so good!

Yeah I love this thing, this is the best vape from any build I've ever done. Even with it absolutely demolishing my e-liquid at 50w I can't stop vaping on it. I'm trying 60w now and it actually seems to have made a difference, but it hasn't been long enough to tell for sure. Not sure if I'll be able to afford running it at 60w lol I work from home so am vaping most of the day.

It may be a wicking density thing, spitting is usually a sign of it.

Try different wick density, maybe you need more. Make sure the air can pass under the coil too. It's also possible you have too much liquid on the wick, over saturated wicks can do that too. After I drip I usually give it a short fire to let all the liquid on the surface soak in if it hasn't yet. You can also exhale for a split second through the drip tip to reduce spit back if it's bad.

Never had any spitting issues on my V4... The issue usually (in my little experience) is a thin juice. I tried vaping some Hangsen juice (70 pg) and it was popping and spitting like a deep-fryer. Wasn't planning on really vaping hardcore, but just wanted to see if the juice was any good.

I still vaped it and once I dripped a Max VG juice, it gave a nice low hiss.

I'm boring with my builds, usually dual macro coils, sometimes twisted macro, anywhere from .5 down to .25 (not often though). After the initial cold fire, I never get a pop.

Maybe this will help? :)

Twisted builds spit. Do tension micros or macros problem eliminated.
