MVP 2.0 Did i get a Dud?

just got it yesterday. ohm meter completely wonky. reads A0.0 to A0.5 when no tank attached.
doesnt turn off when i click 3x, when tank installed sometimes it will take and vape and the most times it will show 0.1 to 1.0 ohm
Im at my wits end, am i missing something or idd i get garbage?

With no topper it should read non. If it reads A0.0 there is a short.

Adjust the center pin like on an ego and all should be good.
