MVP 2 problem ohm checker

Is it normal that my mvp 2 reads my protank coils which should be 1.8 ohms premade and It says 2-2.3 it switches within those numbers is that normal?

Protank coils arent always accurate with the ohms they say they are. And itll change with use of course

Sounds like a faulty coil to me.

Almost all my heads I've checked with a multi tester had not been as advertised- some out by as much as 10- 20% + or -
Also many of these mods are not the most accurate when reading res/ ohms.

Edit: Also - the ohms reading will change over time/ get higher. This can resolved by dry burning.

It's normal. They can regularly read .5 off and can change a bit with useage

Just a thought: in case it's due to the non-coil parts of the system....clean all contacts....PV, Tank threads, coil threads and stem threads. That MAY help a bit.

I rebuilt 5 attys this morning. My target is 2.0 ohms. One read 2.5 ohms and turns out it wasn't tightened to the base. Once I tightened it, 2.0. Maybe this is your problem?
