Hey guys, I'm new to the forums but have been vaping for about a year now. Recently I purchased a new MVP v2 at a local shop and I love it with the Protank II. My only concern is that it takes a very long time to fully recharge? The first two charges took about 5 hours and today it's been charging for 7 hours and the light still hasn't turned off.... Is this normal? I am using the factory cable with an iphone wall adapter. Thanks

iPhone wall adapter?

#1 rule for charging your mods... USE THE MANUFACTURER SUPPLIED CHARGER. That wall adapter is not mean't for charging the iTaste MVP. It's designed for charging iPhones.

I honestly don't know that much about electricity, charging, etc. It could be just fine using the adapter. I'm guessing it charges at a lower rate than what the MVP needs. Still, you really need to be charging your MVP with a computer via USB.

Failing that, you should still be using an Innokin-produced and guaranteed safe iTaste Wall Adapter.

Using other chargers or adapters is like begging to ruin your mod or cause battery failure. I really hope you take my recommendations seriously, because safety is nothing to scoff at. Be safe mate.

Hi c3... welcome to the asylum.

That iPhone wall adaptor... what is it rated at? Less than 5v/500ma?

The green light on mine doesn't go off when it reaches 4.2 volts. Edit- You're better off using a lower rated wall adapter for the usb-usb micro plug, rather than using your computer. It will charge it, but if it ever fires, I'm sure it will exceed the ~1 Amp rating of a computer USB port. Plus, a USB cable is a USB cable. You're not going to be pulling over 3 Amps with an MVP in passthrough/bypass, so any usb-usb micro cable will be fine.

After owning one, and not just playing around with one for extended periods of time, I have a few complaints about MVP, but the majority are just, "meh, it could be better," complaints.

1. I constantly have to pull cartomizer contacts down to make contact. I could have just taken a tank off and put it back on, and I have to pull the contact a tad. I don't know why the well has to be so deep.
2. I can only access the menu once while on charger? Why even let me access menu?
3. Only one sized beauty ring that came with it. The threads could be a little higher on the MVP for it, but that would probably inhibit ego threaded atomizers from accessing the extremely deep well for firing pin.
4. Why doesn't it come with covers for the input and output plugs? I have to search for something to prevent things from getting in one of the most essential parts of the PV to keep safe.
5. Menu buttons rattle a tad. They made the fire button probably the stiffest on the market. Why not make the menu buttons stiff?
6. I got a version 2, right before they altered the output button to sit flush with the bottom...so I can't really complain about that.
7. I'd like to be able to go up or down when selecting power or energy outputs, but that really isn't a problem..even though if I'm in voltage mode, just because I click up, it shouldn't go to wattage mode..
8. I can see how some people won't like the stiffness of the firing button, but I see this as a pro. I hate turning the button off to put it in my pocket. With the mvp, I don't have to do so...just listing it because I'm sure others will have that complaint..and feeling the need to ..... more:)

The MVP never came with a USB wall adapter. It only came with the cable and a few Iclear 16's....As for charging via the computer USB, I'm paranoid that a short will destroy my expensive gaming desktop haha.

The adapter is rated at 5v/1a. I also have the Ipad adapter and I believe its rated even higher.

I dont have your 1# issue. Ive been using Smoktech carto's and Kanger protanks. I agree with #4/5/6/8. I feel the button is perfectly fine and I do vape heavily. I feel secure pocket carrying and the button does lighten up a tad with use.

I'm going to charge it with a Samsung micro USB with a 5.3v/1a output USB wall adapter tonight and see what happens. Both were from a previous Samsung smartphone. (roughly 7 hours of sleep)

A "wall-wart" capable of AT LEAST 1A output or more will do fine with the MVP v2....
An iPad charger is rated @ 5V@2.1A.....it should charge your MVP in 2-4 hours, depending on how low your battery is....
The first "wart" I used had a 150mAH output!!! It took over 10 HOURS just to charge an eGo-C Twist 650!!:(

I thought about using an IPAD wall USB but was kind of worried that the 2.1A output was going to damage the battery. I tried it with an old ego battery and that thing charged in less than an hour!

The ports also act as vent holes for the battery.
