I really thought I might have something profound to say when I reached this milestone. I made it without one single puff of a cigarette. It wasn't always that easy - sometimes I had to remind myself that "Failure Is Not An Option". Even yesterday I was hit by a craving for a real smoke.

It took:
  • 7 brands/models of ecigs,
  • 3 different KR808 battery lengths
  • 6 or more different nicotine strengths
  • uncountable number of different flavours
  • frightening amounts of $$$
Before I found what works best for me.
Although I sometimes feel the need to experiment & try something new, I'm a happy V4Ler. As I've said in another thread, this forum is what convinced me to try V4L and I am so glad I did!
Thank you all for your support, humour and sharing of your experiences. I feel like I've made some real friends on this forum. I'm sure no-one will mind if I single out Morandir & Snowdragon for particular thanks, for sharing their amazing technical knowledge and tips, as well. And I thank the wonderful V4L staff for their terrific products & fantastic customer support.

Congratulations!!!! So happy for you.

1 Year After You Quit
The one year mark is a big one. After a year without smoking, your risk for heart disease is lowered by 50% compared to when you were still smoking.

5 Years After You Quit
5 to 15 years of being smoke-free, your risk of having a stroke is the same as someone who doesn't smoke.

10 Years After You Quit
It'll take 10 years, but if you quit, eventually your risk of dying from lung cancer will drop to half that of a smoker's. Ten years after quitting, your risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreas also decreases.

Long Term Benefits
The long-term benefits of quitting smoking are fantastic. According to the American Heart Association, non-smokers, on average, live 14 years longer than smokers.

That's worth every penny you paid vaping!!
