My 18650 battery wont work in my k100

My k100 is brand new I haven't had it for more than a week. The battery is fully charged and still won't work but the 18350 works just fine.

Thoughts?

Are you sure that you have it seated properly? I know it sounds like an easy out, but there are times that it is hard to tell. I don't own the K100, so I can['t tell you about it. Also, see if one is a flat top and the other is a nipple or button top. Could be the cause. Good luck and have fun!

yeah im sure i did, it's weird because the bottom even feels different but still dont get anything out of it. if i throw in the smaller one it works perfect. could it be the battery? i mean i used the big battery once and it hasnt worked since

If you drained the battery level down too far it certainly could've ruined it.

Uhmm, have you checked it with a multimeter?

It is certainly possible. If you can get it into another mod or use a voltmeter to check it, you would know for sure.

What brand and model battery is it? Some batteries, such as grey Panasonics, don't have a wrapper that extends over the edge of the bottom, causing shorts in some mechanical mods.

aw 18650 IMR 1600mah, efest imr 1500mah if you are going low ohm (like .5 and less) if staying above that both of those will work but you can get away with the 2000mah versions and panasonic ncr18650pd.

I run panasonics in my mech and they work great IMO. Never get hot and seem to last a good amount of time.

depends on how you plan on running your mech.

If that battery won't work in other devices, won't work when you flip if upside down in the K100 and yet the charger shows a green light when you pop it in, it's definitely a dead battery. The el cheapo ones they ship with kits are often disappointing. AW IMR batteries are a safe choice and are very long lasting in terms of the number of times they'll hold a good charge, in my experience. Good luck!
