Capellas NY Style Cheesecake

Well I'm perfectly new to DIY and this was my very first attempt so of course only did a single flavor, but...I'm very happy with the results...I know everyone recommends to start at 5% flavor and work up, but I did plenty of reading about flavorings, esp. this one and took an 'edumacated' chance and it worked.

I just received yesterday a package from Capellas ( Wizard Lab's should be here tomorrow) and got their Vanilla Custard, Boston Cream Pie, Sweet Strawberry and.....NY Style Cheesecake ( I bought some pre-made Cheesecake from Vapedudes [X-tra flavor], so good it became an ADV for me).

I mixed up 20/80 PG/VG at 12mg nic. and a 10 ml. bottle

20% nic
60% VG
20% Cheesecake

(Thanks, e-juice calculator)

Put it in a cobalt 15 ml. dropper bottle and then into a hot bath for an hour with plenty of shaking before and after and presto, just about perfect NY Style Cheesecake.
( I say just about, because it's a wee bit light for my taste, I like my flavors strong and expect time will do wonders)

Vaped on a 650 eGo twist at 3.8, Vision clearo, 1.8 ohm

Nice plumes of vapor, not much of a TH and not a problem for me.
A softly sweet cheesey taste on the inhale with a delicately creamy and tangy exhale, complex flavors in here with full-bodied vanilla base....I highly recommend this flavor....Lovin it!

Also wanted to note that this is very close to what I bought from Vapedudes, very close....next up Sweet Strawberry!

Could one of the mods please fix my 'success' typo? Thanks.

Great job.

That vanilla custard is good stuff. Reminds me of a sugar cookie, and it great to mix with fruits to give an all around, full bodied creamy taste.

One thing to note, I noticed that you said the flavor is a bit light. This might be due to the flavoring, but, personally, I find that clearomizers tend to diminish flavor slightly. Have you tried direct dripping this mix onto an atty?

It could also be too much flavor. 20% is pretty high for some Capella's. I'd recommend giving it a shot at 10% and compare.

Thanks for all the replies and having such a killer resource here on ECF!

I'm guessing you're right. Have not DD'd it yet, still looking for a good atty...

Yeah, seems stronger now that it's been a few days and my taste buds are getting better every day, I'm just over a month from cigs...If it gets too strong I may just cut it with some more VG and nic...

I'm going to see what a few weeks do to it.

A lot of people really like rebuildable attys, I'm not really one of them.

In my personal experience, the best regular ole 510 atty to get, in terms of longevity, quality, and function is a JoyeTech from Liberty Flights. I don't know if it's because they have meticulous quality inspection of each product, or if they just source from a good manufacturer, but, every atty I get seems to work really well, and for a very long time. I still have two attys in rotation from well over 70 days ago. I blow them out inbetween flavors, and occasionally rinse them with hot water, and dry burn to clear the wick. Still going strong.

Anyways, just my couple of pennies on it.

Congratulations on your 1st success; there will be many more.

It's fun, isn't it? :D
Thanks moon, the whole vaping experience has been a great one and DIY has made it that much sweeter! Literally!!

Congrats on the Cheesecake success! I love cheesecakes too!

If you hadn't already considered steeping, you should for this one, it's really needed for the cheesecake flavors to shine through.
Vaped through the whole 10ml, before I knew what hit me, lol.

Anyway thought something might be missing and I think I improved upon it with a little sweetness and thinned it with DW as well, made 30ml. this time, so it should last...

15% Capellas NYS Cheesecake
5% EM ( cotton candy)
10% Distilled water
70% VG (nics in there too)

It's scrumptious.
