My 1st month vaping

Hi all.

Since I need a few posts to start posting elsewere in the forum, I decided to make a thread telling my experience so far.

First of, I'm brazilian and all my english is self learned from games and internet, so I apologise for anny misspeling.

I've been a smoker for about 10 years (started at 14yo), used to smoke a pack of Holywood red every day.

I first saw an advertise about the blu ecig a few years back, but at that time I didnt even considered the possibility of buying one, because I didnt had a credit card.

After Johnny depp smoke an ecig in the "Tourist" movie, a friend of mine bought an manual joye 510 in a brazilian blog.

I tried his ecig a few times and decided to buy one. But first I needed more info cause a movie wasnt enought for me =p

My idea at first was to buy an auto ecig, couse I work at a computer and spend my leisure time playing games. After reading manny posts in forums I decided to buy an Ego cause I'm IMO a heavy smoker and a little ecig analog like wouldnt do for me.

I also readed manny wonderful things about the tank system, and at the same time readed manny awfull things, I decided to buy an Ego-T anyway, but I didnt found a starter kit for ego-T with auto bateries so I bought manual.

I tought that it would be better to adapt with tobaco flavours so I got 220ml of red mix 36mg from Health Cabin and 10ml menthol, 10ml coffe and 10ml capuccino.

From my first day vaping I lost all interest in analogs, I must say I wasnt expecting this. I expected to struggle in my first days but it seems that the only "magic" in analogs was with the nicotine.

I'm still smoking about 1 analog/day couse I still had 2 packs when my ecig arrived. I dont feel the closest pleasure smoking them as I felt before. I even spend a whole week without smoking analogs just to see if that was going to be hard or someghing. I'm 100% sure that when I finish these 2 packs I'm not going to smoke regular cigs anymore.

I readed some ppl saying that the ego-t doesnt deliver much flavour. I only have my friend with the joye 510 to compare and he always vape menthol flavors with even in my ego-t have a strong taste, so I cant really say if thats true or not. I expected a stronger taste from my other juices. In the begining the flavour was weak cause the atty came wet from the suplyer, but even now after a month it still doesnt feel right.

Maybe my expectations was too high about the flavour taste, this isnt a major setback, since I never vaped anything else I cant be sure if my flavour taste is weak or not.

I would apreciate some opinions about the taste issue, maybe I would do better with a regular ego without the tank system? Or maybe I should try some 510-T atty? I readed some plp saying that theese gets u more flavour than the ego-t.

Two colleagues of mine are getting into the ecig world too, they're getting the 510-T so I will find soon if this system gives better taste or not.

Sory for the extense post, I'm not used with posting in forums and doesnt know how to make enjoyable posts =p

I apreciate all the help this forum gave me so far, this is a great comunity and I'm glad to finaly be a registered user instead of just an annonymous reader.

Welcome to ecf and congrats on giving up those nasty smelling-tasting cigarettes....I use the ego -t and the 510... no problem with flavor.....sometimes i do add extra flavor when the vendor lets me, but not often......after 2-3 fill up, the flavor becomes more pronounced.....I have not problems.....just remember on any new atty, blow out the shipping primer fluid before using.....I hold a tissue at the battery end and blow...the tissue catches any liquid, then I wipe out the inside with a q-tip, carelful not to pushe the wick down,,,,,fill my tank after puncturing it first by inserting it dry onto the atty, drip a couple of drops on the wicking, puff a couple of times to pull liquid into the atty then press the button.....heaven and works every time I have a new atty-t

I thought it was a enjoyable post. I like to read about new peoples experiances with vaping. I would suggest trying a few Boge cartomizers. You can refill buy popping the little white mouthpiece off of the end of the carto and turning it a at a 45deg. angle and drip fluid along the side untill it wont wick anymore and replace the cap or, I like a drip tip (easier to take on and off) You can refill a few times and then throw it out and use a new one. They are less than 2 Dollars each and it has a new built in attomizer built in to each one. The 510 Cartomizers are alot cheaper than the E-go T's, and gives better flavor in MY opinion. A box of 5 cartomizers cost 10 Dollars, so throw one when it doesn't work good and use a new one. This way you are not cleaning stuff all the time and they don't work as well after you clean as when they were new. Just my opinion.

Thanks for u guys replyes and for the encouragement in my first post, I enjoy expressing my opinion in chats/msn/etc, I'm just not used with the idea that what I write will be fixed in the web for everybody to read =p, maybe thats why I'm so hard on myself.

*Sugar_and_Spice: I did had this problem with the primer but after a few puffs I changed the liquid and didnt felt anny diference in flavour, so I was sure something was wrong and did a little research about how to get the primer off. I wont make that mistake again. This basic advices about the tank system are just what the manual of the product lacks.
The manual should tell u to blow the primer off, insert all the tank, etc.
The manual even tell u to not push the tank too much or u might damage ur ecig lol.
I already used all my 5 tanks with my diferent liquids but I will try ur tips when I buy new ones.

*wyojoe: thanks for ur tips, I'm not ready right now to try a new system, in time I intend to do more research and look into cartomizers, mods, DYS liquids, etc =)

Welcome to ECF. Trial & error. That's the way it is with e cigs. You'll find the right combo eventually. Keep reading here. It will save you a lot of money.

Also, I though brazil had really strict ecig laws? At least wiki says they are illegal to import, sell, or advertise.

I can only give you my experience regarding taste.

My taste buds did recover a little but not fully even after more than 2 years of not smoking.
So it doesn't really matter what I vape as soon as it give me nic and clouds and I am thankfull to that.

As far as taste goes, I would recommend a LR 306 with a drip tip. This has great taste and lots of vapor.

About the english, brazilians usualy doenst like learning english, in online games they stick with other brs so they never have to learn english, in movies they preffer dubbed movies. There is exceptions like me =p but the majority think this way.

About the law... well the thing with brazil is that they really dont apply the laws so much. So yeah, it is ilegal and if u're really unlucky ur shipment may get sent back to the supplyer.
Plp in the braziliam ecig forums say that its better to get the hardware in 1 shipment and the liquid in another so u get better chances. I bought my ego and about 250ml juice in one shipment without anny problem. There's even brazilian websites that sells ecigs and liquids.
Its like games and movies piracy, its ilegal but nobody cares around here =p

Oh and btw I have one more question for u guys.
I really liked my menthol juice, its a 36mg from Health cabin like my other flavours.
I dunno if I vaped too much but I got a really bad headache.
It happened before with other flavours but I stoped vaping for some time and started again with no problems, with the menthol juice I tryed again after several hours and the headache started again, since I dont enjoy pain I never tried it again.
It is possible for an especific liquid to give me headache or maybe I just vaped too much of it?
I already readed the symtopms section of the forum and I know I can get headache from too much or to little nicotine, but my question is if it is possible that this could be related to the menthol flavor specifically.

Maybe the nic level is to high for you, might want to try 18 or 24mg liquid. Also some people have a allergy to PG and use a higher VG level in their juice or all VG. I use 70/30 PG/VG because I like the flavor and throat hit better. I dont like ALL PG, not much vaper, its the VG that gives the most vapor.

Yes, it could be that one particular menthol flavoring does not agree with you.

Ego t is a flavor killer for sure. Ce2 based tanks are good.( Just google map tank). Also Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers are great with the ego.

I like the clearomizers, same thing as the Ce2 but you can see inside of it because like the name says its clear, so you can see whats going on. They do have a leaking problem after awhile but cost the same as the Ce2.

I just started so I dont intend to try a new model so soon, I googled map tank and saw some videos of it, in the videos plp wasnt using an ego, it was something much bigger, dunno if I'm ready for something so "extreme" yet =p
I already started with an ego and skiped the analog look like level, I apreciate u guys telling me ur experiences and what u find best for flavour I'm just not ready to spend a lot in hardware so soon, I want to use my ego-t hardware for some time at least XD.
Analogs arent so expensive here, a pack of holywood costs 3.75 and I spent about 160.00 in my starter kit (this values are in local currency), so I need to use it for a while or I will be the first vaper to spend more with ecigs than with analogs =p

I tried a "mod" that I found here in the forum for removing a little piece of plastic inside the tank and it increased the flavour =)

I'm also curious about the LR attys, I'm sure there is info about it in the forum already, and I dont want to sound lazy by asking something that is already here, but the forum haves tons of posts and it is hard to find the info even with the search.
So, my question is, u guys think that its a good idea to get my next attys LR for better taste?
I didnt bought spare attys so I just have the ones from the starter kit and I will need spare attys soon from what I readed.
I wont go back to analogs anyway I just want to have the best possible experience while I'm vaping =)
Also, what other spare parts I should get? I intend to buy about 5 attys and 10 more tanks, should I get spare bateryes and 1 extra charger just in case?

My only problem with an LR306 and a drip tip is that it seems a little harsh after using some cartomizers. The taste is more pronounced, but at 3.7v and I had to de-bridge my atty, it really packs a hot harsh hit...
