Let's just make thing succinct and get to the root of this. I dry it out, pop a cart on there that I fill (not overfill) and it floods every damn atomizer I got. It gets warm but doesn't produce any vape. I blow out two drops from the atty spark it up until there's a flow inside, pop back on the cartridge, the cartridge is now half dry and I gotta constantly do this crap.

If ONLY the 306a atomizers worked well with carts I'd be in heaven.

Happens on EVERY one of my damn 510 atomizers. I tried to figure it out myself for the past two weeks but this is insane. I really need your guys help. Any info on what you need to know what I'm doing with my atomizer just ask me.

What fluid are you using? Sounds like the fluid may be too thin or the cartridge is not stuffed correctly. If the fluid is too watery, thicken it with some glycerin.

Have you tried stuffing your 510 cart with the Pyrimid Tea Bag? I have been so much happier with my 510 since using these! I take one tea bag, cut off all the glued seams, ending up with one long strip. I cut the long strip in half, keeping the length. I fold the tea bag accordian style. Cut off just below the cart top. I find I can drip one drop on the atty, then place the filled cart on. The cart will hold more liquid than the standard. These last much longer than the standard cart. Seem to wick much better! Think Kreel is right, it is a cart stuffing problem. The 510 runs so hot, that keeping it wet, but not over wet is one of the tricks with this model. I don't have to mess with a cart every 5 minutes anymore. Get a lot more time between cart top offs now! I do occasionally drip with the 510, but find if I put more than two drops in, chances are I will have to blow it out. Also find that this depends on the size of the two drops. Using the little 3ml bottles, two drops is fine. If I use a 50ml bottle, the drops are way too big and the atty is flooded. I find that dripping with this model takes too much refilling for me. Can only get about 6 good puffs or so and then have to drip again. Using the combination of dripping a drop and the tea bags seems to keep the atty moist and running happy. Good luck!

Either your juice is too thin, cart material is not dense enough, or you need to trim a bit off the cart material if its surrounding the atomizer when you plug the cart in. Could also be your carts are simply too full. Please tell us whether you are using stock cart material or using tea bags, fluval....etc.

If you hold your 510 with LED pointing down while pulling from it, that can also flood the atty as well if you are hitting it several times in a row. Ive learned to either hold my horizontal or LED pointing upwards to avoid this.

I was flooding mine almost every session because I was pointing it down when dragging so my hand would hide the LED, to avoid the blitz of questions I would get on every vape break. When I stopped doing this my atty stopped flooding. If you hit it pretty often, I would try at least one cart with the pyramid tea bag as filler, to avoid going the opposite direction and vaping with a dry atomizer. With stock filler, I could only get 3 good, flavorful drags, then it would go downhill fast. If I waited 5 mins or so it would be better, but not great. With the pyramid bags, I get awesome drags every time, with no waiting in between. Hope your flooding issues are over!

I only had flooding issues when I used the coffee stirrer mod on my carts. Filled fast but emptied too fast. Could be...

1) Overfilling carts. I always top off. Fill a cart half full and see what happens. Does it happen with a pre-filled cart?
2) Cleaning by blowing out is good, but have you actually soaked them? You may not be getting out all the juice and may be starting with a partially clogged atomizer.
3) If juice is too thin, using a little glycerin might help. I buy 18mg and cut it by 1/3 to get it to a medium strenght. Not too thick and not too thin.
4) Could it be the battery? Oh wait, never mind.

JC juice is thick and prolly wont flood your atty, but you will probably have the same symptom in only the first few hits will be good and vapor will taper off significantly after that. JC juice tastes great, dont get my wrong, but after trying several other brands, its probably my least favorite even though some of the JC flavors are my most favorite. JC juice keeps giving me a panic attack because it makes me think my 510 is dying from the very weak vapor output. Seems everytime I load up a cart with JC, im in heaven for 5 mins, then end up swapping it out for something else that will perform more consistently. Hopefully you wont have the same experience, since atty flooding is probably already fustrated the heck outta ya.

I personally wouldnt soak my atty in soda, although some list great success with that. Seems whenever I clean my working atty with any type of liquid, it dies less than a week later. Once a week blowing it out, then sticking a paper towel in the atty overnight works for me on clearing it out. Innovapor has some pretty good video tutorials for the 510 you may want to check out.
