I'm about to do a flavor order, I'll add that to the list, thanks:thumb:
I just noticed your name and avatar which reminded me of a favorite dice game from my youth. Really a fun game, you roll and accumulate points, can stop at anytime, you want the most points without Rolling a skunk. Great game I highly recommend, especially considering your user name.

Hangsen(HS; a Chinese manufacturer) offers a line of RY concentrates (RY1-4). As the number goes up; the sweet (caramel, and vanilla notes) gets stronger, and the tobacco presence gets weaker. If RY4 is too sweet, you can try RY3 (or even RY2), and see if it is more to your liking. HS RY3 has a pretty loyal following here on ECF, from people who find typical (TFA RY4 Double, etc.) RY4s too sweet.

I never knew the differences between HS RYs so thank you for posting this.

Love it! I'm gonna look for it and see if I can find it. I have a collection of skunk stuff that peopke have given me over the years and that would be a great addition. My kid loves board games too and that is just awesome!

All RY4's suffer from the same thing. Little tobacco flavoring. If you want more of a tobacco taste you will need to add to it. Personally I like Flv con shade, kentucky blend and red burley to add to almost every ry4

Do you add all three of the FLV tobaccos to a RY4 and if so at what percent?

I tried vaping back in 09. Dekang RY was my favorite. I. Tried 1-4, and found 1 the most raw tobacco like, 2 the smokiest, three had more sweet, and the tobacco came back, but still had the smokey flavor, and 4 was sweeter still, with almost no detectable tobacco. I got Hangsen 1,3, and 4 now, and they are just like the originals, only more vivid, and less synthetic tasting.

I use TFA DRY4 as the main flavoring in my mix.

Example:
I do about 80%VG, and 6% nic - roughly...but that's all up to you.
  • 10% TFA double RY4
  • 5% TFA DX Bavarian Cream
  • 1.5% Acetyl Pyrazene

It's a simple, sweet, very slightly nutty caramel kinda thing I can vape all day.
Above comments are accurate - no real tobacco to it - but you could add that!
Started off with different percentages as a recipe someone gave me to replicate Halo Tribeca.
Careful with that "AP". Somewhere near 3%, it flips over from "slightly nutty" to "FRITOS !!!".
:)

Do you mean you make your own TFA Double or do you mean you use it and add stuff to it?
Either way, would you share more details on your recipes?

The ones I listed were just a few of the ones I have tried with ry4's and they all bring something different to the mix. There are a lot of others Ive used. Figure out what you want and find the ones that can get you there. If its flv I usually start really low like .25-.5 as an add on. A few get higher depending on what you are after.

Thank you — I will err on the side of caution and start low.

Maybe check out the recipe for Goofy's Juice (also on ELR). I made some not too long ago and it went fast. I originally picked up RY4D to make Tribeca, but I like GJ a lot better. Should be more in my mailbox this afternoon.

Back to the original topic, I jave a bottle of Soho in my cart at BCF. I'm anxious to try it out. I've heard good things about it. I'm going to place the order Friday for all my new flavors. Anyone have any more suggestions for good tobacco flavors before I checkout?
JF has a good ry4. I like most of flv tobaccos. Con shade, kentucky blend and red burley are probably the most popular

OP - other than being too sweet, you don't really say what you are looking for in your finished juice. All that I can offer is my favorite recipe using RY4 as the predominate flavor, though this one may be too sweet as well. The recipe is not mine, and I don't know the origin or owner:

    Banana (TPA) 3%
    Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) 2%
    Graham Cracker (FW) 2.5%
    RY4 Double (TPA) 4%
    Sweet Cream (TPA) 3%
    Vanilla Swirl (TPA) 4%

This one is also good, and adds cinnamon and cream cheese icing - though again may be too sweet for your liking.

Shroom's Awesome Sauce (credit to Shroomalistic at that popular recipe site):

    Cinnamon Danish Swirl (CAP) 7%
    Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) 1%
    Cream Cheese Icing (LA) 2%
    RY4 Double (TPA) 8%
    Vanilla Custard (CAP) 2%

On the second recipe I back off the RY4D a few percentage points as it's a bit too much for my taste - as you can see by my favorite RY4 recipes it's more about the other, sweeter flavor notes - with the RY4 playing a secondary or back-up role.

    Heck yea....

I knew there a reason I ordered Cream Cheese Icing, besides using it in my apple fritters for the first time. Also, in for the first time; Belgian Waffle and Cake Batter.
