Hi there Elendil

I hope you don't mind if ask a really stupid question.. But what does RY4 actually taste like? This thread has piqued my interest, but the best Idea I have from reading it is that RY4 tastes like heated-to-slightly-burnt-sugar (with caramel being the heated range, and roasted marshmallows being the burnt range).

Would there be a better way to categorize the flavor?

Thanks in advance

To me it tastes like a caramel/sugar/nutty flavor. It is a unique hard to describe taste............but really good.

First, 90% of the juice out there comes from one manufacturer so RY4 = RY4 = RY4 more or less. These differences must just be batch variances or something else. I have just ordered some from Ruyandirect and all the rest I have been vaping are from electronicnicstix, so I plan to compare side by side and see if there is really a difference.

RY4 taste like cotton candy to me. It is my daily vape usually mixed with about 40% menthol. I have found that it taste awesome the first day using it and then you kind of get used to the taste or something. So, the trick is to have another stick loaded with something like grape or watermelon and hit that a few times and then go back to the RY4.

that sounds perfect for my tastes... I love 555 b/c it's got that nutty thing going, only thing that would make me like it more would be a creamy sweetness.

Does anyone know if Hilton is somewhat similar?? I have a big bottle of it coming, just no idea what it's like...

RY4 is on next e-cig shopping list

I just cracked open the Hilton I got from Ruyan and it took me a minute to recognize the flavor, but I'll be damned if it's not the flavor from the Smoke Everywhere carts, a good tobacco flavor with no frills makes good vape.

Partially correct, anyway. Just because many suppliers get their juice from the same manufacturer doesn't mean it all tastes the same. They work with their customers to create variations or even totally unique flavors... you just have to provide them a sample of what you are trying to achieve.

Elendil,

RY4 and 555 are my absolute favorite flavors. I have found that they are not the same as I have it (RY4) from 3 different places and Eastmall will be my 4th I just ordered on there May sale. I will say they are all close nice tobacco with the caramel tone. If I don't get the flavor I want from eastmall I will go back to MVS a little more money but great juice.

Some suppliers may also get unflavored and mix their own flavors.

I suspect this is *rarely* the case, but..possible in some. Another reason it's in *our* benefit (not nesc suppliers) to determine the source of each juice, and if it's altered (flavorings) or not by the supplier, or if it's manufacturer direct/untouched/standard flavor from mfgr.

There is only one place that I know of that does this. They don't advertise it, but they did admit to it once in a post.

I have read a lot about the RY4 liquid and how great everyone thinks it is. I never got off my duff and ordered any. Then I got 5 carts of it with my Janty Stick.

Holy crap!! It is really good. I really like it, a lot! It may even surpass my butterscotch as the favored vape in my house.

Went to the Janty site and don't see it even listed...........

My question is this. Is all RY4 the same. I see I can get 100ml from Eastmall for $50(that should get me through the first week). Is this the same stuff that Janty sent me? What about other retailers of RY4? Is it all the same?

    Thanks in advance.............

My RY4 flavored BE112s just arrived. OMG! You're not kidding YUM!!

Taboo flavorings from www.liquidxpress.com is suppose to be an RY4 flavor. I am assuming you are asking about flavorings to use with unflavored liquid.

Yes. But I have been told liquid express flavors all VERY watered down. Would like to find flavorings that are more concentrated. I guess I will find out I ordered some from them yesterday.

Let me know how it works out once you have tried it.

That flavoring is the same price as the real stuff, what is accomplished here? Looks like I'll probably just end up buying a bunch of low nic stuff of the same flavor to cut with my 36. I suppose I should have stocked up only on 18-24mg stuff, but couldn't resist getting some 36 while I still could.

I would imagine if I cut it with just PG and/or VG that it would really lose it's flavor so was thinking about adding some caramel and/or vanilla Lorann's (if they even have those flavors), but I need to learn more about mixing and am beginning to think it is not worth the hassle. Maybe I should just sell off my 36mg as or just buy an equal amount of 6mg or 11mg to cut it with, but think I might have more than 2 years supply if I do the later...

So can anyone who cuts 36 RY4 down to say 18 comment on flavor, process, adding back flavor, etc.?

I also have a ton of menthol 36 was thinking that it might be o.k. to just cut that with straight PG and if not get some menthol crystals (again need to learn more about this too)

What is accomplished is if you have unflavored juice and a good quality flavoring that 30ml of flavoring can flavor 150ml of juice

I would imagine if I cut it with just PG and/or VG that it would really lose it's flavor

If its not a strong flavor to begin with. It will loose some of its flavor

So can anyone who cuts 36 RY4 down to say 18 comment on flavor, process, adding back flavor, etc.?

If you had the flavoring would just add pg/vg/ry4 flavoring to it to drp mg

I also have a ton of menthol 36 was thinking that it might be o.k. to just cut that with straight PG and if not get some menthol crystals (again need to learn more about this too)

The menthol is easiest. just cut with pg/vg to drop the mg level then add menthol drops.
