My Avatar is too cute to be accepted?

Hmmm... annoying. I have adjusted my avatar to be 149x149 pixels, and 3.73kb. It meets the requirements. I've tried uploading from my computer and it says "unable to save image". I've uploaded to imgur and tried adding the avatar via a stated web address (http://i.imgur.com/b9Apa.jpg) and received the same message. I'm no noob, but I'm not sure what else to try. Any suggestions? Quite frustrating.

Get an ugly avatar? If your avi's too cute then it's too cute. Otherwise it may have something to do with the ECF being down for a while today and they just haven't gotten around to fixing avatar uploads yet.

I've been using this avatar on practically every website for the past 4 years. People see it, and they know its (most likely) me. I... I can't change. I hope you're right that its just they haven't fixed it yet, and that they are aware of it. I feel extra-nooby not having my avatar showing. :\

For me the internet's been out most of the time the ECF was down and now I've got an iffy connection and about half of everything with pictures posts as those little ? boxes and I don't know if it's my connection or some residual effect of the ECF being down and they are still going through trying to fix everything. Best of luck to you and I wish I could have been more helpful.

There's a thread on this. Avatars have not been fixed yet since site went down. Lot of veterans that change around avatars to welcome new vets no longer have an avatar as of yet

profile pictures don't show on posts - there is a difference between avatar, which shows, and your profile picture
