I'm brand new to the forum but have been vaping (no analogs) for a month now. I was a chain smoker for 30yrs.

I have a bunch of equipment already but I'm not sure what cartomizers can go on my batteries. I have batteries for 1) the joye 510 eGo and 2) the 1100 mah batteries that come with eGo T-Tank starter kit.

Are there good cartomizers I can use with wither of those 2? Do I want LR or HR? What Ohms do I look for when I order online?

I've bought a few unmarked cartos from a flee market. They 1-3/8" long. Black or white. One was marked LR for Low resistance and one marked HR for High Resistance. Both seemed kind of 'airy' and 'slurped' I noticed one needed a harder draw than the other. One of them started tasting burnt.

I'm also not thrilled with the eGo T Tank, it leaks at the battery every other time and there's little taste. I also tried a Giantomizer, but it leaked juice out the tip and tasted burnt quickly. I think that Giantomizer was version 1 though. Have they gotten better?

My Question: Can someone recommend a good cartomizer for one of those batteries or both? I'd love to get one that holds alot of juice, isn't to 'airy', and lasts for awhile.

Thanks!:vapor:

The most cartomizers are for 510 threading and that is what you have.

I recommend you learn to use stuffing cartomizers with Boge 3.0 (the same ones slim 510 can use) then try the hotter Boge 2 ohm ones (which only big batteries should use). Boge are by far the most popular cartomizers for 510 threaded devices. For 5-packs see LiteCigUSA.net, Liberty-Flights.com (they run out more often), NiteLiteVapor.us. Then when you know which you like and want more, see Crystal Clearing Vapor which has a good price on 15 at a time.

I use THIN clear juices to get the longest good performance out of stuffing cartos. I use mostly PG juices with 20% or less VG and I avoid juices that seem to drop a lot of flavoring sediment (clogs a carto, ruining the drag and shortening its life). I can get 10 days or more use out of a Boge. never put untested juices in cartos. Some people succeed and cleaning cartos, many don't and most don't bother - they are meant to be disposable. Only put juices you know you like in cartos. For testing juice I recommend a normal 510 atty and 510 drip tip. A simple plastic or delrin 510 drip tip can also be used as a mouthpiece instead of the endcap of the cart (easy to remind to add juice). You need to keep cartos damp. If you run them too dry they will singe and add a bitter taste that will not go away. When filling the first time, make it take 18-24 drops (18, wait, then however many more it will soak in easily and I hold tissue against the threaded end hole). Then clean it up well (threads, then I tilt open end down into a tissue and puff into threaded end to clear air channel, then I touch a soft bit of tissue to the top of the stuffing. The on this first fill, you let it settle. Lay on different sides for 15-20 minutes. Then vape and when it needs some liquid, add some.

THEN after you know how to use those, you can try more exotic cartos like dual coils and reservoir cartos that need a syringe and may leak or be fussy about working etc.

I think the EMDCC have a really hard draw. I prefer the ones MadJack mentioned or regular xl dual coil cartos, ego-e cartos or boge 2.0.

I just don't care the the draw and the way the EMDCC looks- and hate the mouthpiece with a passion. I have a couple boxes I'm using up but I doubt if I'd order them again. They do hold a lot of juice though.

I didn't care for the emdcc's found the draw kinda hard and they were hotter/harsher than I liked...juice(to me) started to taste funky to me before I was actually in need of topping up so the larger capacity didn't help me...I switched over to the LR Boges I listed above and said...yeah, this'll work...then I tried the Resurrectors and my eyes lit up from that light bulb going off, the vape was just the right amount of warm with big clouds of vapor and the 2ml capacity was just about right as well...what works for me may or not for you...try 'em you may like 'em or you may need to keep looking for what hits that sweet spot...in the meantime...Happy Vaping.........

I'm stuck on the Boge 510 LR (1.8-2.0 ohms) cartomizers. The ones I order from Electronic Cigarettes & Accessories | Awesome Vapor are marked 510D on the bottom. These have the little white tube in the center of the filler material that keeps the air channel from closing up. The draw is good for well over a week.

My previous ones came from another supplier and didn't have the tube. After a few days, I had to use a straightened paper clip to open the air channel and restore the draw. The D stands for disposable from what I can find. The tube may be only in the LR cartos or it may be a new revision for all Boge cartos.
