My favorites now. On the left RSST BD13 2ohm ribbon, Habana Reserve and on the right AGA BD13 1,8 ohm ribbon, Hangsen RY1.
My BD13s are relatively thin, in fact the RSST still has the hole insert and the wick in it firm. Looking forward to some thicker diameter wicks to try, but I chain vape these at 14 watts and have never had a dry hit. Both have a hemp flavor wick that really helps the wick recover and keep any hotspot from the legs wet.

Got a bunch of new white ceramic wicks from a friend (don't know what to call them) they look just like the BD13s. Anyway finally have some thick ones. Here is a 11/64 in a RSST without the insert, 1.9 ohm kanthal ribbon. It is vaping great. After it breaks in I will compare side by side with the thinner wick, same setup.

Little by little I am pulling out all the LC2000s. never could get into the flavor they give off. Now I am in heaven, 4 genneis on white ceramic wicks. This is by far the best gennie setups I have experienced. Still like my hemp on the BCCs and drippers but I have pulled the gennies out of retirement. Never thought I would say this, but doubt I will use a SS wick again.

Third day on the 11/64 wide wick and it has broken in good. No doubt it is out performing the thinner wick in all parameters, Flavor, Volume, and TH. There is still a little lag at 14 watts when the wick is cold, but that disappears after the second draw and things heat up.
I tested my RSST with the wide wick on one of my VVPTs. 6.2v with 6v loaded. 2ohm at 18 watts. WOW!!! This will be my truck rig with the 12v cig plug as the source. Clic pic for video..

Quite impressive BJ. Thanks for posting your commentary and videos.

I've been contemplating the notion of starting to shape my own ceramic wicks from the 60-grit white stones that are available out there, but I just don't want to get back into that messy business. I've had my fill from back in the day with the TopFin fish stones and honestly if I never grind a shard of ceramic ever again, it will be too soon.

I hear you, even though I bought some topfin stones and just recently bought some 60 grit white stones, I have yet to cut one. Just don't have the facilities in a condo. I bought a bunch of LC2000 that I do not use. Friends have supplied me with cut BD13 and white stone wicks and am very pleased with them. Just hope someone starts producing them as I am convinced they are the best gennie setup to date.
