Twisted wires are awesome Now for a even more vaping experience do a dual coil using twisted wires. manos and I did that and the vape, the taste, the throat hit is out of this world.

But Ill warn you that your mouth will become a huge fog machine. LOL

We did .7 ohms dual coil using twists.

I'm still having issues:

Using 32/34 res. wire, I need an un-wrapped length of only 1" to get the heat and vapor I want. It is at max 4 wraps around 3.5mm wick. You guys doing doubles and triples seem to be using much longer lengths of twisted res. wire. Is it possible that I'm doing something to up the ohms when I am twisting?

I'm at a loss--great flavor/heat/vape, but with only 1" long res. wire.

Hi OB, 32 is good for the twist. I ran a 32 twist for 3 weeks with no flavor loss and no burnout what so ever.

I'm currently running a double 34 with a 32 and the heat and flavor is amazing. If you have plenty of 32, why don't you try a triple 32 and let us know how you like it? I think what amazes me most from the twists besides how long they last is how long the battery life goes. I've gotten to where one 18350 lasts me all day. A 17670 lasts me for for 2 days. Just amazing

Thanks for the info. A triple twist? Can I really do that? How do I know how many wraps with that bad boy?

If you use a triple twist, use three times the length to get the same resistance. Although I would think that a twisted coil would benefit from having quite a bit lower resistance than a single coil. Perhaps aim for 1.5 ohms or so, depending on the battery.

Hi Ob, look at the very first post on this thread. You can use all 32. The "rope" will be stiff but if you hear up with a lighter, it will become pliable. As Imeo mentioned, I think the strands allow for better juice wicking, that could be where the flavor comes from

In a twist you have more conductive than resistive per inch square than from a single wire with the same resistance and I think that causes the juice to be vaporized slower and thus giving you more flavor out of it. Just a speculation.
