I got it, can't tell the difference. I have a real bottle here, everyone I let smell it says they can't tell the difference. The flavor is dead on. It may not be exactly what he uses but I can't tell the diff.

I made a 5 mill bottle.

24mg nic
100 vg
6 drops of black and mild flavor
2 drops of cotton candy
2 drops of coconut

Ok I tried the B&M(VZ) with Coconut(VZ) and I believe it is the missing flavor that we have been looking for.

I re-worked my recipe from the other thread with the B&M and Coconut from VZ and I think this is the closest match to boba's that I have tried so far. I can taste all the flavors in boba. I cannot find anything missing. I think we need to play with the percentages a little to dial it in. The following recipe is a little dry and needs a bit of sweetener.

I made a 5ml batch at 6mg 30pg/70vg

3% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
3% Graham Cracker(TPA)
6% Black & Mild(VZ)
1% Coconut(VZ)
1% Mts vape Wizard(FA)

Agreed. :) When I got my first order of Boba's about 4 to 5 weeks ago, I speed steeped it in a Ultrasonic cleaner for 30mins and then let it sit for a week and a half before trying it. At first it tasted like cinnamon, graham cracker and coconut and I liked it. I started trying to clone it then and came up with a very good replica. Then somewhere between week 3 and 4 Bobba's changed. The Cinnamon and Grahm cracker and coconut faded and the raisin, chocolate and nut flavor came out of hiding.

My recipe seems to follow the same steeping pattern. It starts out cinnamon, Graham cracker with a hint of chocolate. After a few weeks the cinnamon and graham cracker start to fade, The hint of chocolate stays and a hint of raisin comes out.

I have tried changing the B&M from 2.5% through 10% at .5% increments with no luck. The chocolate notes get weeker or stronger with the differences in amount but not the raisin note. I am now hoping that one of the other flavors is combining with the Hazelnut to give the raisin flavor.

I tried the Rum Raisin SC from VZ and it tastes like welches grape juice. LOL.

Great thread! I'm inspired to try all the variations mentioned by everyone here.
I have a question about the type of delivery device and whether or not people are discerning these different taste notes at different voltages or ohms, resistence, wattages etc.?
I've been vaping VZ's B&M using a simple ego twist set at around 4.0 and I mixed up my batch using only 10 drops (from the original VZ dropper bottle) in 10 ml of my nic base. I don't think it tastes like chocolate milk LOL but I do get different tastes depending on whether I use a vision stardust clearo or just drip it in my LR 510 atty.
And I definitely notice better flavors with lower nic concentrations. It seems that when I use 18 - 24 mg nic the flavor drops are muted and I taste the nic, yet when I do only 6 - 10 mg nic I like the flavors better, but not getting the nic hit that I need. Anyone have this problem when DIYing? I can't seem to find a happy medium LOL.
Oh, and my 30 ml bottle of Boba's lost most of it's flavor after about 4 or 5 weeks.:( So I didn't reorder and now I'm trying these recipes just for the sake of trying them. Can't match any of these variations up to what I remember Boba's tasting like within the first few weeks that I had it. I do remember that I thought I got some chocolate and occasional cinnamon and possibly a raisin note at times. The half a bottle that's been sitting here unused for a couple months tastes like a muted version of my B&M that I've been vaping LOL. I think I'll transfer about 5ml of my Bobas to a new bottle and make adjustments to it with these recipe on this thread :p

I've been watchin this thread and decided to go ahead and order all the flavors mentioned and give it a shot, although I haven't had Bobas, Homebrews recipe sounded so good I had to give it a shot.. I wonder if I can get some Bobas from the PIF juice trade to compare.. I will definitely post the results when I get em.

This post points out to me all of the things that I love about DIY. I illustrates just how much tastes are totally individual and how wonderful it is to hear someone else's opinion.
When I first bought Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice, I tried them on different attys and finally 2 carto tanks. I thought they were AWFUL! and that I had made a huge mistake even buying them. The taste of honey or molasses or whatever sweetness was overpowering and the 6mg of nic was harsh and nasty tasting and ruined both juices.
I continued vaping at least a little every day. After about 2 weeks, they began to mellow out. The taste became more blended and I actually began to enjoy them.
After 5 weeks (not four), they both became very full flavored and mature tasting. It was like a fine wine after it has reached its maturity. The nicotine blended wayyyy into the background and the sweetness that had been so unpalatable became just a whisper.
I have to admit that BB became the third best vendor juice I've ever had and GJ became the fourth. If I'm ever lucky enough to hit the AVE lottery and be able to buy more juice, I will put it back for 5 weeks without tasting it. I love the fact that searching4answers found that the juice lost its flavor after 4 or 5 weeks. This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I love DIY and the individuality of taste, and love having a place like this thread to express my opinions.

Well put. I read all the Hype about Boba's for month's and finally got some about a 5 weeks ago. My bigest mistake was waiting two weeks before trying it so I missed the fresh Boba taste. I had bought into the let it steep a while and it will be better. When I finally vaped it I was amazed and loved it. it was balanced with cinnamon, graham cracker a little coconut and a hint of raisin. a week and a half later bam the cinnamon and graham cracker faded the raisin and nutty chocolate flavors came out and I thought what is going on. next the chocolate faded and now after 5 weeks the raisin is starting to fade.

Since I missed the first 2 weeks of flavor changes, I will order a fresh bottle in a few weeks and start over to see what I missed. :p

Although we have not made an exact clone yet, We have come very close.

This version is still the closest IMHO.

3% Cinnamon Danish(TPA)
3% Graham Cracker(TPA)
6% Black & Mild(VZ)
1% Coconut(VZ)
1% Mts Vape Wizard(FA)

It starts out with cinnamon, graham cracker and chocolate. Those fade and the raisin flavor comes in later but not as strong as Boba's everything is almost even nothing is dominant.

I still havn't figured out the nutty flavor. I think it is either hazelnut or walnut. I am working on that now.

I never found it too sweet or tasted honey or molasses, but I didn't start vaping it when it was fresh. Maybe that is what I missed in the first 2 weeks. The honey or molasses may be what is needed to make the raisin flavor come on out. :)

Dang it now I have to order more stuff. I don't have honey or molasses. :(

After 5 weeks I feel it is starting to get weak and not at its best. I could just have Bobba block. I need to vape something else for a few days. lol

5ml Bottle

11mg Nic
80%VG - 20%PG
7 drops of 7 Leaves Tobacco
2 drops Sweetener
1 drop of Coconut

Let steep 10 days.

Not bad. I'm not getting any Bobba's flavors though. I zapped it in the microwave for 4 seconds and let it steep for 3 minutes and 47 seconds. :pop: I'll speed steep it tomorrow. :D

Some like to replace the Coconut with Blueberry. I find the 7 Leaves to contain all the nutty tobacco flavor in Boba's. I was gifted some Boba's by a friend who didn't like it and I found this tobacco flavor comes closest for me.

Edit: You can also use it with Dragon Fruit and Blueberry. That is really good.

Edit 2 : I don't understand why people have trouble getting these two juices. I just went over to AVE and ordered both.:)

7 leaves is the only FA tobacco that I don't have, just ordered some. Off topic but SM honey (5%), FA honey (1%), blueberry extra
(4%), vanilla swirl (2%) and TPA smooth (3%) is really good.

Not sure if I should even post this since my taste buds are pretty wonky...and it's been a really long time since I tried Boba's.

When I first tried it, it reminded me of a pipe tobacco that my husband used to smoke....so I asked him what he typically smoked in his pipe back in the 70s. He said he used mostly Captain Black Gold.

Now...I can't be sure that Captain Black Gold is the smell that I was recalling since he said he may have used others too.

Has anyone tried extracting a pipe tobacco in VG to replicate BB? Just a thought. Take if for what it's worth. ZILCH! ;)

Did you ever catch any of the overpowering sweetness? To me, it was honey, but it might be molasses. Do you like it at the 5 week point? To me, that is when it starts getting good and improving in the tastes I like.

Was just browsing and was glad to read that somebody else picked up on honey or molasses, mine is 8-9 days old and in the first week that's what I have been getting with a smooth tobacco. Honestly cant say I love or hate it, but have vaped it a couple times a day since it arrived. My tastes have been all over the place and haven't landed yet. But I do know I like complex flavors, and will explore this as well as other juices to the last drop.

So I made a second batch and re-worked the prior recipe.

I made a 10ml batch at 12mg 30PG/70VG

6% Black & Mild (VZ)
3% Cinnamon Danish (TFA)
1.5% Graham Cracker (TFA)
1.5% Toasted Almond (TFA)
1% Coconut (VZ)
1% Mts Vape Wizard (FA)

I like the reduced Graham Cracker. I can't really taste the Toasted Almond, yet.

Thanks Gloria, I have some Seedmans Captain Black. You might be on to something here.

I mixed up a 5ml batch of
5% Black & Mild SC(VZ)
1% Captain Black (SM)
1% Coconut SC(ZV)

It is very nice. The Captain Black adds a sweet honey type of flavor and brings out the tobacco flavor more. I'll let this one steep a while and try it again later.
