Namvet thanks for confirming what Ive thought for a long time now. Ill be helping on this in the next week or so. I need to order a few things incl some bobas so I dont feel like Im talking out my booty on this anymore.

When people said raisin and such earlier in the thread and then mentioned the stock issue with TA I knew right away thats what it had to be. Im encouraged by your findings and am going to try my hand once I have the correct items to compare.

Try the PA tobacco Absolute (in a 1-2 drops per 10ml dilution). Replace the B&M, Raisin, almond, cinnamon additions ...the TA gives you all these subtle notes (including the sweet honey flavor if you add a small amount of EM)...I'm not kidding.

Just my opinion, but the TA is the primary ingredient that gives Boba's most of its "chameleon" characteristics... by adding all these other flavorings, you are only hitting one particular flavor that pops up now and then in BB, but in mixing them all in, you are in fact muddying up the juice. None of the flavors come through cleanly at one point in time like the original.

I'm not saying that some of these recipes aren't outstanding in their own right (they are), but they are getting away from the basic FOUR INGREDIENTS in Boba's...keep that in mind.

Whatever...I've learned a tremendous amount about formulating DIY juices in this elusive quest, and have a bunch of outstanding juices that meet, or exceed anything I've tried from many professional juice venders .....except AV, but I think I'm getting much closer....

Have fun

I have been mixing with Tobacco Absolute for a fair bit now and noticed how this flavour changes from one week to another.
When i make Absolute up its always mixed with Maltol then left for a month or two, During that time i constantly check & every time its different, Always for the better.
I agree with NamVet Makes perfect sense to be in BB purely cos of the chameleon characteristics.

Regarding this thread and a Boba's clone,

The TFA cinnamon Danish seems way to strong in all on the recipes I've tried here with that as an ingredient. The real Boba's has a very slight almost unnoticeable hint of cinnamon. I've come to the conclusion: I hate TFA cinnamon danish.

Yup, I followed eitano's latest favorable version recipe exactly and all I can taste is that cinnamon danish swirl from Capella. Wouldn't say I HATE the flavor, but 8 drops into 10ml is way too much as I can't taste anything but it - I'm just looking for a light hint. Maybe 1 drop, or diluting it will help.

Bill it is not exactly, I have not used Capella`s in my recipes it is Cinnamon Danish and Graham Cracker by TPA, when all combined you can hardly taste it!

I followed this thread a few weeks. Just coming back to see how your quest is going. Could someone please summarize the latest recipe using NamVets TA version. My TA is TFA 50%. TIA

Just a quick summation: I'm still juggling percentages of each, but here's the original #7:

Boba's Clone #7:
Black and Mile Plus 40.0%
Cinnamon Danish Swirl 20.0%
Almond oil 20.0%
Coconut 7.1%
Graham Cracker 7.1%
Vinegar 5.8%

(Remember - these percentages are to make a solution that you will add to your base at a 15% ratio - NOT percentage of your final juice!) In other words - you make up a batch of this stuff & add that to your VG/nicotine solution at 15% of the total volume. ... Too much flavoring will kill the juice.... it will not be the Clone you are looking for (sorry, had to throw that in :) )

My current concoction:

Substitute the B&M with the TA dilution (I'm running 2 drops/10ml right now, but still tweaking it)
Drop the Cinnamon Danish & Almond oil.

You are left with the TA dilution, Coconut, Graham Cracker (though you will probably want to decrease the amount by about half, the TA will supply some of it)
Just a FEW DROPS of Vinegar / 10ml
EM/Marshmallow/Cotton Candy to taste (only one)...you probably won't need much.

That's it - remember, the TA will supply the "missing" elements.

Give it AT LEAST a week to steep before you adjust anything - the longer the better.
I mix everything in 100% VG (Pure Vegetable Glycerine (USP) from CVS Pharmacy).

I'm still playing with ratios of each, but since the flavor notes keeps changing over time (like Boba's), its tough to tweak. Go with the original percentages to start (except for the Graham Cracker), and you will be off to a good start.

Have fun

Yes, they are super strong and overpower everything else but actually a decent mix if you enjoy cinnamon graham crackers.
Bill you choose to quote my post from 3+ months ago and forty pages back:ohmy:, since then I tried Capella`s and agree they do not go well in this recipe.. Good that you are clearing this issue!!

Sorry but what is TA dilution?

TA - Tobacco Absolute (very strong thick liquid) can be diluted in VG/PG/Alc.
