I've been working on this for a couple months. I'm sure a lot of you will think I'm nuts but that's OK. You won't be the first.
When I first got Boba's Bounty, it smelled and tasted like a shot and a beer while smoking and eating bar nuts. Good times. lol

To me this isn't 'IT' but it's pretty close. The flavoring isn't strong, I've been backing away from that lately. Also I'm in the process of trying it with Desert Ship, both Hangsen and VZSC. Desert Ship has been described as slightly sweet and spicy. Maybe that elusive cinnamon note? And when I can get some, I'll try Black Mile and Black Mile +.

I've been doing this all VG, no DW, no problem in a T3. Since there is so little flavoring my guess is it wouldn't fly in a carto. But maybe it would. Me and cartos have deep issues.

First I make a nut mix- 1ml VZSC Almond, 1ml VZSC Hazelnut, 1ml ECX Fruit Express Walnut. Shake that up in a bottle. I use the same bottles as the super concentrates come in. The drops are 39 per ml. Actually, I read that on here, I haven't tested it yet.

VZSC Black Cigar .15ml or 5.85 drops (I use 6 drops)
VZSC Beer .075ml or 2.93 drops (I use 3)
VZSC Whiskey .05ml or 1.95 drops (2)
My nut mix .05ml or 1.95 drops (2)

Heat bath, shake it baby shake it, then lid off to evap the alcohol a couple of times. And don't knock it til you've tried it.

Just adding my two cents.

I've been vaping Boba's off and on for over a year. It never changes flavor for me except when my taste changes. It always tastes the same. I have never understood the people claiming the taste changes.

I wish I knew what was in Boba's, but I don't have a clue. I do think that the TA is a good guess.

I also have a recipe that I think is really good but no Boba's

VZ SC
DUNHILL .25%. 12 drops
Carmel Candy .09%. 5 drops

TPA
Cinamon Danish 15%. 69 drops
Vanilla Swirl .09%. 5 drops

50/50 pg/vg. 10ml

I love Dunhill. Im going to have to try this one. Sounds interesting. I dont have vanilla swirl but I have some other vanillas that would hopefully work.

Thank you. That actually helps me a bit. Im leaning toward the notion that the dark coloration is the use of more seedmans commercial than what I have been using, along with the graham cracker. The graham cracker (im pretty sure) is what gives bobas that unique "reddish" brown. I dont know too many other flavorings that will do that color and be close to the flavor of bobas at the same time.

Still working on it!

I don't have any Gorilla Juice right now, but the color was always the same as Boba's.

Can someone who has some Gorilla Juice post a pic of it in a clear bottle side by side with a clear bottle of bobas? Im interested to know the actual color differences in the two juices.

Working in tobaccos as much as I do sometimes color tells me things.

I've been out of AVs Gorilla Juice for quite some time (I make my own version now), but the color of the two are identical. In one of Ben's postings, he stated that the base for Gorilla Juice is the same as Boba's, but with two tobacco elements (out of three) removed so the Banana flavor was more predominant.

Before I started making my version (from cigar extracts), I made Gorilla Juice when I couldn't get it from AV by mixing 3 parts Boba's to one part AV's Banana Slurry...it's pretty close....but a bit richer....at least that was my take.

After a month of stepping, there are 2 clear winners on the #7 recipe.

(all made to Slowhands exact specs, with various tobacco bases primarily from TPA)

Honey Tobacco Base (TPA)
&
Captain Black Pipe Tobacco Extract

Both different, yet easily a complex / ADV for me. Not BB, but I no longer desire BB with 120ml not being used. (no, not for sale)

BTW...I've actually made Black & Mild extract, it's be steeping for 2 weeks, the smell is out this world, and is ready for #7 mix.

As much as I feel I know about DIY, theres still things I learn everytime I mix. Reverse engineering juices is not something I do very often. However Ive made many good/excellent vapes just by exploration. Besides it keeps me busy when I have free time.

However Ive learned not to open some flavors unless I want the wrath of my girlfriend upon me. The tpa ripe bananna is locked up... not by me... but by her.... sigh...

It's buried in the thread way back by now, but I had posted links to where Ben had mentioned a few things. Recap...

5 flavors, but none of these.
40% flavoring.
Tobacco hints.
Boba's with 3 tobacco flavorings.
No alcohol in Boba's Bounty.

So is that 5 flavors total including the Tobacco? Or 8 total flavors adding the 3 in the Tobacco mix?

Btw, I was reading the thread if there is Alcohol and the secret recipe was revealed:

"Its not alcohol, its the Sarlacc milk in Boba's Bounty. Sarlacc milk miked with the Juice of a hubba gourd make a tasty dish, legendary among the Jawa.
Thing is its hard to find anyone willing to milk a Sarlacc.
"

LoL.

He clearly says five "ingredients" not five flavors. There is a big difference between those two. Im thinking three tobaccos, one other flavor, and distilled water. Thats it. Nothing else.

Ben says in that thread labeled "five flavors" in the link above: " I know the 5 basic ingredients to this liquid and I can assure you nobody has come close"

Five ingredients.... not five flavors. We already know three are tobaccos from the info supplied about GJ. That leaves one flavor and distilled water. Since the juice is 100% VG he isnt saying VG is an ingredient... its all base. The ingredients are additives... flavors and water.

Just my take on it, but Im right... lol.

Ive been operating on simple from the start. i have even contacted seedmans to see if they have a pg free version of seedmans commercial concentrate. If not Ill have to look at other things.

One thing I learned is that when you buy things named "concentrates" its usually mostly flavor, natural and/or artifical. When you buy "flavoring" its usually that same flavor diluted up to 10x into pg. Im not sure how true that is but Ive read it in several places now. Makes sense as the concentrates I have (not talking vz alc based stuff here mind you) last forever and a day and the flavorings dont last near as long.

He could be buying said concentrates and simply diluting into VG just like he would TA. However there are vg based flavorings from natures flavors too I havent looked at much yet.

I wouldn't bother with the "Nature's Flavors" route...remember when BB was created, Nature's Flavors wasn't part of the ecig landscape back then.

That being said, perhaps Ben was ahead of all of us?:?:
