It's fairly easy to duplicate bobas once you know the tobacco flavor. If you look at bobas in light you can see tiny bits of tobacco floating around so from that you know its not a concentrate he uses for flavoring. Its also what also gives it a dark color.

Care to share some light on this?

It gives credit towards measures of evidence gathered on the juices.

We all know Boba's to be free of PG, but those of us with even little experience in DIY know that the juice is too thin to be 100% vg. What does that leave? Water, alcohol... which is used, I believe, in the extraction of tobacco flavoring.

This also could potentially give truth to the statement of they using up towards 50% flavoring, as a great deal of that % could be from this extract, giving it that lighter viscosity, as well as the other elements attributed to the blend, such as color, depth, and flavor.

Then again, this is, just the same, all speculation. But if it does indeed hold truth, I don't believe this endeavor to be as easy as this quoted message gives belief towards. If Ben does utilize an extract of his own making, then replicating the recipe could prove near impossible. To start, how many types of tobacco leaf exist in this world? Not to mention the process in which it is done, and of course, other flavorings involved.

It's funny… after a particularly heavy day of vaping some Boba's, I was strongly reminded of when I smoked Captain Black pipe tobacco. I have VZ "Old Captain" —.but to me that tastes nothing like the tobacco in Boba's or Captain Black.

Anyone else ever smoke Captain Black? Am I crazy?

I am now tasting Boba's once again after 5 months without. It's odd, but, it does not remind me of what I used to vape day in and day out, 100mls ordered at a time. No, this reminds me of Boba's when I first laid it to atty, and vapor hit a Boba's virgin tongue.

To be honest, I do not know if I find it as I once did. It's as if it may be too much flavor for me now. It's not a bad flavor, but I must say, I miss the way it tasted when I ordered in larger quantities. Perhaps I'll re-grow accustomed to the flavor... perhaps I'll deviate from trying to clone recipe, as is. Either way, I am glad that this thread offered me opportunity to try new flavorings.

I would like to echo Levitas's sentiments in regards to this thread giving me the opportunity to explore and open up to more flavors and mixes. A mix in an attempt to clone this recipe has become my all day vape for about a month now, while I am not sure it taste exactly like Bobas, I do know I love what I have come up with, thanks to experimenting and assistance/ideas of other members on this forum.

My sentiments exactly! I've never even bought any "genuine" Boba's; I've only tasted some of my friend's but this thread has allowed him and I to make 2 of our favorite D.I.Y. recipes. The "Banana Nut Bread" is actually good by itself, but besides the compiled full recipe by "glassmanoak" our other favorite is the 3 flavoring mix of "Banana Nut Bread", "Graham Cracker" and "Cinnamon Danish" mix at 50/50 PG/VG.

Thanks to all that are participating!

Sorry to say, but this thread has become so confusing to me. The BB stuff sounds interesting, but the modifications everyone has made and then posted about keeps me trying to figure out exactly which mod they're referring to.

I wish there was a way to resolve this, but unfortunately, I find I'll just pick a page and try whatever recipe is on that page eventually, unless an individual who knows BB well can recommend the consensus favorite of the more than 225 posts here.

Quick question, is the "black and mild" from Vaping Zone now called "black cigar"? And also, did you use super concentrated flavor or just the regular?

They are one and the same. I didn't know they carried a regular.

The problem is attributed to the complexity of the taste. Many taste different elements in the juice, thus no one recipe stands to be correct over another. Whether it be a trick of the mind, or reality, I thought I tasted something akin to VZ's Black and Mild (perhaps not the same exact ingredient used, but something tasting familiar)... and that was mild. I've tried a few recipes, and modified and made one myself. After retrying Boba's again, I can say that none, in my opinion, taste its equal.

On my previous note, that of it being too strong of flavor. I diluted a small amount, and it makes it much more tolerable. It's nice to taste it again, but at this time, I cannot attribute any flavorings I've tried to this blend. Not yet anyways.

Not sure if this is going to help or hurt, but I have a story from tonight.

Tonight while vaping Boba's in my living room, my roommate who is not a vaper or smoker comes in and asks, "Which e-liquid is that?" I answer that it's Boba's Bounty. He remembers that I've been trying to make a similar recipe, "That smells so similar to something I've tasted recently. I can't quite place it. But it was something sweet or dessert like." I explain that there are many people who are trying to get to the bottom of what he flavor is and I haven't found a recipe that woks for me. After thinking on it a while he says, "That smells exactly like some bubble tea that I got recently. We should go get some"

I'm thinking, oh my god, has my roommate stumbled on the base flavor? I remember someone else suggesting that it may have something to do with Boba tea. So we take a trip to the Boba tea place so we can test it out. When we get there we each order a "Green tea with pearl." To him, the flavor is exactly what he is smelling. Hs describes it as a sweetened tea with jasmine. I offered to let him take a vape to compare, but he politely declined :)

Now, it's not exactly that to my tastes and I could lack the palette or the vocabulary to describe it correctly, but there is something here I think. I've ordered some black and green tea flavorings and I'm going to test out the theory.

I know my tobaccos and the ONLY tobacco flavorings I have ever had with ANY particulate in it was from Seedmans. Usually its the Seedmans Commercial tobacco that has some settling....

Seedmans/hazlenut? I dont know bobas bounty but I only mix 100% VG and a seedmans commercial/tobacco absolute mixture is my goto product as a base for VG tobaccos. My recipe is in the diy recipies section. Could be Seedmans Commercial alone is what bobas tobacco is. Dunno if anyone has tried it.

Ive been planning on buying a bottle of bobas for like a year. Maybe Ill take a crack at a clone soon. I bet I could get damn close. If I do ill report back. Wont be for a few weeks tho. Ive been buying more hardware lately. I have so much flavoring its insane.

Ive always said that BB tasted just like Levi Garret Chew Plug. I have been searching high and low for that chew but cant seem to find it anywhere lately. He might be extracting that cause it molasses and raisin in it. When I first tried BB it was the first thing that came to my mind. If anyone find this stuff please try an extraction if not send it to me. I will gladly pay the shipping cost for it.

Well I will put in my :2c: as I just received my first bottle of Bobas Bounty from another member (Thanks Cathy!) here in exchange for some of my DIY'S (Pretty cool and I hope she likes it).

I just want to say right off the bat I will be no help in cloning it,lol sorry. It is indeed a very complex flavor. On my first drag I tasted a heavy tobacco flavor, flavor you absolutely get from a cigar. So a cigar extract, to me, seems to be the base. I have not tried M-Type, only Commercial and Tobacco Absolute, to be able to say it is M-Type or something close to it. Now for the harder part, what the rest of it is. I do get raisin (More of a oatmeal raisin cookie) and molasses on exhale but I am not sure if it because I have heard in reviews of other people having it but I do get those flavors. My attempts to duplicate with out having tasted it failed miserably now that I have, but only failed miserably in making a clone of it. I have created my all day every day juice thanks to this thread and for that im grateful. While I enjoy Bobas Bounty I can't say it is a juice that blows my mind or HAVE to have and stock up on. It is a very nice and complex juice and might purchase it just to have it around the house to break up my rotation from time to time and the novelty but other than that I personally enjoy my creations better believe it or not and that makes me happy :)

Thats all this poor soul has to say about that......

What's your DIY all day?

60%PG-40%vg

4% VZ Black and Mild
4% Banana Nut Bread
3% Cinnamon Danish
3% Graham Cracker
2% Marshmallow
1% Cotton Candy

High % of flavor I know. Shake and Vape but I tend to give it a hot bath and around 3-4 days in the dark dungeon for the flavors to blend.
