So I'm vaping some boba's today for a change. I usually vape my DIY ADV but recently bought a bottle of boba's just for the heck of it and it also reminds me of when I first started vaping. I use my A7 rba to fine tune my juices because I can single out certain flavors a little better with it for some reason. Juices that tasted well mixed, where the flavors melded together nicely on my HH.357 suddenly taste partitioned and completely separate after I got my A7.

What I taste in Boba's and intend to test are gingerbread, a little coconut, possibly spiced rum, and possibly a cigar. Gingerbread would lend the honey, gram cracker, and raisin flavor to the mix and then add some spiciness to the background tobacco flavor if it really exist. What throws you off that trail is the coconut. By normal standards coconut has no place in that mix but actually mixes well with the spices in gingerbread. I think the tongue gets confused between two well defined culinary standards. The spices in gingerbread include (but are not limited to) Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and clove which are the same spices that you would find in spiced rum. When I think of Rum the first thing I think of is pina colada which is made with coconut cream. The second thought I have is Rum and coke. The coke might not be in there. The Rum might not be in there. Just having the coconut and gingerbread together gives us those impressions. Furthermore we may be getting that missing flavor effect like when you cook something and "something is missing" but you don't know what and it's driving us crazy. Ben did say it was simple, simple for him to mix for sure but the flavors are creating a sort of flavor illusion. Just a thought and I'll try it out and see what I come up with once I get all the flavors I need to test which might be a while.

So after that wall of text you really don't know either lol?

Nope, I have no earthly idea. Just bored at work today and putting my two cents in to confuse people even more then they already are.

bwahahahahah! :)

But seriously though I think I might be onto something and i'll try it out as soon as I can.

BTW sorry about the wall-o-txt, I tend to get wordy sometimes. :)

Hello! I've just read trough all the bobas threads and I think I'll be really close to the original recipe next week. I'll have the whole FA and TPA flavours next week.
I think we should start with color of the juice, whats Red, not really common color in juices. It has the same color as M-Type. I think boba made from only TPA flavours. My first guess is mtype, coconut ( or coconut candy ) , honey, and some kind of biscuit. Graham cracker have black color so that would be good, but I think its just not that from tpa. i have another idea for the 4th ingredient just dont have the glavour yet. Mtype is really strong, I think bobas have 0.5-1% max in it.
So I'm waiting for the missing flavours now, pls if someone have any idea what should I try feel free to post here :)
( I really think its just m-type, coconut, honey and some kind of biscuit only )

The main thing that makes me think it's not just regular flavors is that it's not available in zero nic. If it were just a combination of any of the regular flavors then it would be available in zero nic.

Flavours with nic what don't works without? :) I don't think thats the reason...
Nic is slightly modifies the taste, but the difference is much bigger between 6mg and 24mg than 6mg and 0mg.

Just mixed a bottle of the following, though tweaked slightly.

2% BM
2% BNB
1.5% GC
.5% CD

Pretty killer combo. I literally just mixed it, and dripping now. I like it! Thanks :vapor:

Got this bottle in the mail, it tastes nothing like bobas, it's not a bad juice and I'd probably be more favorable towards it if I wasn't so disappointed in RiPTrippers review.

I used PG because thats what I had available, I'm sure ben uses alcohol in the extraction. Anyone ever try a juice called Grumpy's Hooch? I saw a video by RiPTrippers and he thinks its a sweeter stronger version of Bobas.

100% VG is like honey.

I bought VG in a pharmacy (sealed bottle) and it is significantly thinner than honey, even the stuff in the upside-down bottles for quick use. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying the VG I got isn't that thick.

They use 10-15% flavouring with 5% water.

Their facebook page states that they use 50% flavoring, but that statement is followed immediately by a humorous one, so I'm not sure they're actually serious about that.

Ok you're right maybe honey was a bit too much :) Its more like a syrup, but no atomizer can handle the 100% VG alone. My VG is: 99,93% Ph.Eur.7.0. (even 1% water makes a HUGE difference)

50% flavouring, haha :) Pls try some flavour at 30% even with VG base, its really too much. I made a clone what was at 10% flavouring in 95% VG + water base and it was stronger.
Noone uses more than 20%. (If they use 50% flavouring the price would be like triple)

I think they said that becuse if you calculate a little with no water the 10% PG flavour still cant be this thin ( I dont know if thin is the opposite of thick in this case, sry for my english :p ), so intead they say more PG flavour than water usage. (Because water is not that good in high dosage for the lungs, so less water is better) - and if thats the case with 50% flavouring than its not 100% VG, its more like 50-50. Every flavour is PG based used in e-liquids

I would agree the viscosity of the VG is very much alike to that of syrup.

Ok, I see...

I'm not sure what you mean? PG flavor can dilute VG instead of using water?

I don't think so; I read on here that flavors can be PG-based, alcohol-based or oil-based. Case in point, I recently got an order from HHV and couldn't vape the stuff for 2 weeks, it had that much alcohol in it. That's the impression I got, anyway, because of the high volatility of the aroma (the whole room smelled from just leaving the open bottles on the table) and when trying it I got the impression that I'm trying to vape a cocktail. :)
