Found a quick way to repair an air hole I drilled too large in an ego cone for one of my Lines. I glued with epoxy a small rectangle of # 400 mesh over the hole on the inside. When dry I punched a hole thru the mesh from the inside with a hypodermic needle. Was able to adjust the draw just right wiggling the needle until the hole was the correct size.

That's a nice fix BJ. :thumb:

To all who posted stuff in this Thread, as well as other ones, I took what I read and... came up with my "All-In-One Genisis-Line Rebuildable OG Puck".
It rocks. It vapes like a volcano.
I've compared it to other people smoking analogs and the vapour production blows their smoke away - every time.
Why smoke when you can vape?
I post this to celebrate my ONE YEAR Anniversary of NO tobacco PRODUCTS.
To ECF and everyone who vapes here on ECF... Thank You!
You've saved my life.

Very interesting. I like what l3oertjie did, but question using steel/stainless? needles for his contacts. Other than that, looks like he knows his stuff well. I think he did a wonderful job on it.
That's the beauty of Genisis - you play around with what you have and it still kicks ...!
I've been vaping exclusiv Genisis for 2 weeks now (coz I just finished off the LAST carto) and just couldn't see how I could ever go back to Chinese made cartos again.

I agree, I just received 6 more ego-W to convert to cheap lines, I have not found anything better. Have retired my A2 and GTUS to the museum. The Line, best vaper, best flavor, best TH, only problem is not able to take apart for cleaning so I will make half a dozen for different flavors. Maybe Dan will make one on a co-op that can be taken apart. I am convinced that the tank on the bottom is the best as it eliminates most leak problems and the warmer vapor is closer to the real thing.

I've made a total of 4 'El Cheapo' Lines and they all kick some serious vapour. The G-Tank (another el cheapo home copy) kicks ... too. Right now, I'm running all 5 PVs at the same time - and it's a real treat to decide which one I want to pick up next and take a few tokes off of... Truly, "Vaping! It's a lifestyle."

..an afterthought: I was out vaping in front of some store this afternoon and watched 2 smokers light up their analog ciggies at the other end of the strip mall, and their smoke plumes were so WEAK compared to the big clouds of vapour I was pumping out! LOL. I felt justified... we're talking at least 5 times the volume here.
Go make a Genisis Line - you will not be sorry!

Brilliant thread guys. Have been following from the start and have finally had a go. Thanks to everyone for making this possible. Having a few issues though. Everything seems to be working great then BOOM and my mesh is on fire! Any idea guys? Burns like a candle!! Doesn't seem to be putting out as much vapor as my A2 but really want away from it these days. Love the simplicity of the genesis. Anyone else had fire isssues?

It's pretty much a mix of too dry a wick, too hot a coil and a short to spark off the flame. Get rid of one of those and it won't flame, get rid of all and have a fine vape. :)

Looks great. Flaming juice is usually from very hot spots. I see a lot of air between the posts and the coil. Bend the posts closer and 4 coils is only for 3.7v, if you are going higher use a couple more coils. Good luck. I have four cheap lines going and they are by far my best vape.

Thanks guys. Will have a look at it tonight and will try all the suggestions. I've been vaping at 3.7V but was going to throw it on my Lavatube. Will do a new coil tonight for higher volts. What would 6 coils of 0.15 kanthal be in terms of resistance roughly? On a side note does anyone know where i can get cheap food grade silicon in the UK? Got a bit of leakage needs sorting!! Think I'm going to have to look and see if I can make a tank that i can take apart for cleaning and maintenance in the long term!
