I also DIY my juice with no nic. What is your secret for good tobacco flavor?

The price is nothing like the almost 3 pack a day habit
I have 4 home made, a v1 and v2 line, it is all I use with my vg juice.
I am getting all the parts to make 6 for family and friends and then quit for a while and go back to VV mods.

I've got another F1 with the pen cap on the way. I made a cheap line and it worked well, but I didn't like the way the shell wiggled on the carto after being cut - one drop and it would have went flying apart. I will press the shell out for this one, should be much more secure.

Has anyone tried using either of these for the drip tip connection?:

510 Drip Tip Adapter for eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer

The F1 seems to be the same diameter as an eGo, and as are these carts so it would save the step of having to drill out the cap to fit a 510 drip tip. You could just use a pipe cutter to get a nice clean cut and throw this in. Any ideas? I should have all the parts by the weekend and will report back if no one has used these together.

I get 3 ounces of tobacco from the pipe shoppe, soak it for 3 days in Tequila, squeeze the liquid out, strain it 5 or 6 times thru a coffee filter, and then add it to my Tequila-thinned VG base. It comes out a light caramel colour. Tastes great - at least for me.

I use an Ego "B" size drip tip, so if that fits the "B" atty tube it should work.

That sounds excellent. How much Tequila do you use? Also what's the best pipe tobacco? Would love to try this!!:)

Actually, any kind of pipe (or cigarette) tobacco will do. When I used to smoke a pipe, I preferred the blend made by 'The Lane Tobacco Company' out of Georgia USA. Cavendish or Burley are my personal faves, though.
Regarding Tequila, I don't have any measurement per se, but just add approximately 1 cup of Tequila per gallon of VG. I also add 1 cup of the tobacco extract to it and stir it up well.
It gives my vape a rich tobacco taste, that is slightly sweet.

Heading to the tobacco shop today! Have to give this a try. When soaking the tobacco how much Tequila would you use? Don't want to ruin the tobacco! :)

O you won't ruin the tobacco. All you're doing is extracting the essence of it. I add Tequila until it covers the tobacco completely, then add another half inch. Be sure to shake the jar twice a day - morning and evening. The Tequila will soak up the tobacco and turn a very dark brown. After a few days, take it out of the jar, squeeze the tobacco (then throw away the wad of soaked tobacco) and then strain the remaining liquid through a coffee filter about 5 or 6 times. Then add the dark brown liquid to your fave e-juice to vaping taste.
Please do let us know how you like it! For me, it's just like smoking - only without the health hazards of it - I get all the flavour I want!

Can i get the screws from radioshiz or a hardware store?also what r they called?made one w a humungo n used steel p clip leads.it works but wrapping the wire is pia.on the humungo, the top cap cover pops out and a 5ml syringe stopper fits snug, drill it out for ur fave dtip n good to go.

Radio Shack's are too big and not stainless steel - it's mainly pc and case hardware. Try ACE hardware - in the hardware section they have several drawers of miniture 1.6m screws and nuts - they work great. You may have to ask where they're kept.

Chopped up a fine cigar and have it soaking. May finally have some use for the cigars.

My first 6 cheap lines I used screws (RC push rod holders) but since I got the V2 line I got 18 gauge half hard silver wire and like it better. The main advantage is that I can bend the post so there is no long run to the coil and eliminate the most common hot spots. With the hard wire you can wrap the coil wire real tight on the silver and have had no problem with false contacts. Coils on these are lasting three times as long as with the screws.

Thanks teach.2 nuts per screw?I agree on the cap.no threads, but the clearomizer is nice.polypropylene tube

Number of nuts depends on configuration. In the pic below I used the bottom nut to snug to the electrical contact (the plug is delrin) and the top one to tension the spring to capture the kanthal. On another one I left off the spring and just used the top nut to hold the kanthal.

In a clearomizer that may not work as well... size would probably be an issue on this config.
