My cotton is burning fast

Hi there,

I'm using Teslacigs Nano 120W mod with Serpent SMM rta. My registrants is .50 and using watt of 34.00

I'm having few confusions.
My cotton is burning fast.
I don't know, how should I set my watt. I use VapeCalc to find my watt. But the problem is, what should be my voltage? I always use 3.7 as per my battery says. Though, this mod is using two batteries.
I'm not getting good flavor. But, with WASP Nano RDA, I can get better flavor.

It there something wrong in my mod or atomizer?

Thanks. I'll be waiting for your response :)

Well, I do have that mod, although not the serpent. You need to forget about volts totally if you are using your mod in wattage mode. It will pull what it needs from both batteries to output the wattage numbers you want to use. So, that's not an issue really.

As far as your resistance of 0.5 well 35 watts doesn't sound far outside the realm of possibility but cotton in RTAs DOES tend to gunk up fairly rapidly if you are using higher wattage and a sweet or otherwise gunky juice and how often you vape is kind of the standard, so if you are vaping frequently and/or it's the only mod you are using, I wouldn't expect more than a day or two of use. If it's IMMEDIATE, well, that may mean something is going on, but I'm not quite sure what. Can you say what juice you are using how "fast" (days, but also how much liquid you are putting through there and etc.) FAST is? If it's 10 minutes, there is a problem (IDK what yet, need more information) if it's in a couple days that may be more reasonable.

I use rayon and it lasts far longer than cotton and can withstand higher wattage. I am not saying you must do that or anything, BUT, I might suggest it if you don't find a solution or if 2 days of use seems "fast" and everything otherwise is working PERFECTLY.

But, I don't know that to be fact and it could be good to post more information that will help others help you isolate what may be going wrong in your build etc.

Best of luck,

Anna

The SMM is considered a flavor tank, if you aren’t getting good flavor maybe your wick job and coil placement needs to be adjusted.
I use cotton bacon prime and keep the wick fluffy and barely tucked in to the juice holes, wicks great and very nice flavor.
But I’m also running a .24 build and vaping at 45 Watts.
If it’s burning quick, maybe too much wick and tight spots.
Long wicks stuffed in the juice holes can cause burned hits too.

I don't have this tank, but IMO it's the juice, I was rewicking and cleaning coils, including changing the drop in coils every two or three days because the juice I was using then, was a sweet dark juice with additives, and was really gunking up the coils and my wicks were just toast. Since I've been using my DIY that's clear with no additives, my wicks get changed once a week whether they need it or not.

Your getting good advice here.
Could check out rayon, I use it and found that it performs better than the cotton I have used:
Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!
Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2
But, with WASP Nano RDA, I can get better flavor.
Yes, RDA's are much more flavorful, but I you have to use tanks, could read:
Efficiency. Thinner wire and higher resistance VS thick wire and lower resistance
r/electronic_cigarette - Resistance is futile. Ohms are not king. Wattage is.
It there something wrong in my mod or atomizer?
Does not sound like it. Tanks just have more problems/complexity than other systems.

Set the watt on what basis?
Forget about voltage readings (useless information). You're actually running your regulated mod in wattage mode. So focus on the wattage setting.

Set your wattage to the output that is enjoyable to you. Always start out with a lower wattage, say 15 watts. Gradually increase the wattage a few watts until you find a setting that gives you a nice combination of flavor and vapor production. If the vapor tastes burnt or is too warm to your liking, you've gone too far. Drop the wattage until you find your "sweet spot".

For some folks, that sweet spot might be 20 watts. For others it might be 40 watts. For others, 60 watts or more. Experiment.

Thanks people,

either you set the voltage or the wattage... wattage mode is easier to use, when in watt mode the volts dont matter, the mod will adjust voltage automatically to get the watts you desire as the batteries loose power.

Set the watt on what basis?

the watt setting is based off of preference for vapor density, flavor, etc... kinda like how fast do you drive your car? Even tho the car can do 120mph ( 120W) do you drive it that fast? Or do you like a milder mellow drive at 45 mph? ;)
